The 1867 gyeongbokgung is not the same as the 1395 one the 1868 reconstructed one form heungseon daewongun is more of an englarged changdeokgung palace. The decorations of gyeongbokgung now is all from changdeokgung and the woodwork as well. The orignal gyeongbokgung would have been more detailed and grand. This palace is essentially a copy and paste of changdoekgung . Even changdeokgung probably is not exactly the same as before the imjin war. All the palaces now that we see are examples of the economically stagnant late Joseon.
Master Youn Honestly if Korea was United it would have land for every building in the peninsula too be lower then Gwanghwamun and geunjeongjeon. It would have room for every building too be a hanok and korea would be like Europe. Known for its archeicture
장소에 대해 자세히 설명 해주셔서 감사합니다. I only visit Gyeongbokgung palace very briefly so I could not see much from the complex. I will visit them once again to understand more of your explanation 👍👍
Wooow i didn't know that before 😍 Thank u Youn 'oppa' for all this information 💖 U are the best korean tour guide ever 🥰 u are doing well 👏🏻fighting 💪🏻
hello, thanks for making this video. this video helps me to know gyeongbokgung palace. but I'm curious about one thing, is there a special reason why the main gate of the palace is always in the south?
Changdeokgung is more Korean and distinctly Korean and doesn’t use the organized layout of buildings to dominate like china it is instead beautiful harmonious and distinctly Korean
I am not sure😁 Because the UNESCO designation conditions are quite strict. But oneday in the distant future, it may be able to be... haha Thanks again Lee🤗
The palace only dates back from 1867 the original from 1395. Geunjeungjeon had blue tiles like cheongwadae and Gyeonghoeru as well it must’ve been beutiful distinct from chinas architecture
Well... I am not sure about it😆 But it is also a part of Gyeongbokgung so Korean government or Cultural Heritage Administration has an obligation to keep it in good condition, and has also done so.😊 Thank you again my friend Lee

@@koreantourguideyoun3635 never mind cheongwadae should be demolished the new presidential office is better and located in the center of Seoul so therefore the garden of gyeongbokgung the garden and the rest of the palace should be restored
Right hahaha. How did you know king Sejong? 😍 King Sejong is one of the great persons most respected by Koreans haha. He invented Korean alphabet, Hangeul.
i watch all the historical movies i told youn i love korean drama or historical and so sad the prince die for that and i agree he is a great king Sejong if the pandemic is gone i'll come to korea send you a message for that but thanks again and sty safe God bless
Japan Empire rulled Korea in early 19 century and wanted to undermine the authority of Joseon royal family. So Japan destroyed it😔 Thank you for asking 😁😆
Hi master youn is the chair in the geungjunjeon hall the original from 1868. also why didn’t gyeongbokgung get immediately reconstructed after Imjin war. and one last question why does everyone say restore gyeongbokgung and not reconstruct restoring is like restoring a painting that’s dirty not entirely redrawing the painting.
First of all, thank you so much for your interest in my video.😄 1. The throne of Geunjeongjeon is not original, but was newly created in the mid-19th century. The original one, made in 1395, was burned down by the angry Joseon people during Imjin War.
2. After the end of Imjin War, King Gwanghaegun was the king ofJoseon Dynasty. Gwanghaegun restored Changdeokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace before the restoration of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Perhaps the kings of Joseon believed that Gyeongbokgung Palace had an bad energy for some reasons, while Changdeokgung Palace was much loved by kings because of its outstanding scenery. Therefore, King Gwanghaegun seems to have delayed the restoration of Gyeongbokgung Palace until later. Gyeongbokgung Palace was finally restored in the mid-19th century.
Gyeongbokgung palace is better then any architecture in the world the old gyeongbokgung before 1911although the cultural heritage administration has restored the palace incorrectly and has made mistakes in every rebuilt building.
Master young I don’t think South Koreans are proud of gyeongbokgung their actual own architecture. They don’t even want too restore it fully South Koreans should be gyrongbokgung is a masterpiece of architecture
