Formerly a competing power lifter, Alex Hormozi didn't like the effect that the volume was having on his joints. He transitioned to more of a bodybuilding approach without feeling the need to get stage lean.
Professionally, Alex has gone from sleeping on the floor of his gym to discovering financial freedom, teaching other gym owners his success secrets and transforming over 1500 gyms on four continents. As host of the Gym Secrets Podcast he's also helping gym owners get more profit per member, increase retention and engagement, all while retaining your own personal life.
Alex is also host of the Gym Secrets Podcast. Subscribe at apple.co/3kHGF4g
The Gym Launch model has now transformed thousands of gyms spanning four continents. Gym owners work endless hours and sacrifice themselves for their customers, and still, many go home empty-handed. Gym Launch is dedicated to solving this problem.

Episode highlights -
How to build a consultative mind map of all the information that exists for success, and build a mentorship and educational community to leverage lessons that others have already learned.
Why the fitness industry continues to talk about the same challenges, and what it's going to take to start moving conversations forward.
How the virtuous or viscous circle of price can work for or against your business model through understanding value, profit and performance.
What your choice of equipment and classes will do to your business, and how the smallest accessory can ruin your profit line.
Why the passion in the fitness industry is often what kills the chances of a business' success.
What fitness trends are going to outlast everything else, and what to base a gym around for longevity. Plus the key points to what makes a good operator.
The five things you should be doing in order to retain members, and what to do if you're a struggling gym owner right now.
Why exercise digital programming will better serve members and clients through convenience than any live digital workout on Zoom will do.
How the difference between a good and bad operator is all in genuinely caring about your customers.
Why dual motivation is so powerful in getting to the gym, particularly when you think about hanging out with your friends and going for a workout.

That first sentence is already so smart and self-aware : "I was a powerlifter competing for 5 years, and one day I realised I don't care how strong I was, my legs were in so much pain..." The amount of people who stay on the same path, slowly destroying their body and life overall (physically and mentally) just because "they've been doing it for a long time" is mind-blowing. Sunk-cost fallacy.

Alex Hormozi's genius is that he gives it away. I've never been more grateful for a youtuber than I am for him.

@47:45 - This is true. I worked for a company over 10 years ago that spun-off and entered an industry where all the competitors provided more for the money. We offered very personalized world-class client service. It was like a luxury 7 star resort, where you paid out your ass, but you would never be unhappy as we bend way over backwards. 10 years later, we turned their little 4-man group into a global corporation that became an industry leader. All the big banks, hedge funds, masters of the universe were our clients.

@@ngreat4390 It depends on what it is, but probably. If you look at supermarkets for example, why do some do just as good or better than others who sell the same things for less? People will pay to get treated better or simply get an item in a nicer package.

Right. So, the acquisition of the customer was a cost. Subsequently, obviously, you trade with that client, generating income. Learn basic business terminology. Your rent isn't part if your profit - you pay it in order to operate and, ultimately, have a turnover. CAQ is the same. Christ !!!!!!!!!!

we all know the rich take from the poor by targeting their insecurities or needs - how ever your videos are all based on those who already have housing and assets - although the poor / working class are the super glue of society , shelter costs take every penny so a normal job would be pointless ' its like that amazing man on you tube with no arms or legs , even people like him have some thing to profit from as sad as that sounds - would you have any advice for those of us with nothing ?
@christiandean9547
@christiandean9547 2 года назад
1. Drop the mindset that you’re part of some Class. Only difference between you and a rich person is knowledge of how to make money, i.e., skills. 2. Learn from the people who have figured it out. Acquire the skills. If you have free time to watch and comment on this video, you have time to change turn your life around.
