Actually, I'm doing my driving license in Poland and we have even tighter figure eight which is enclosed in a rectangular boundary of 23ft x 46ft. And it is quite easy to do either on Honda CBF 125 or Yamaha XJ6NA, After exam I'll try with Honda NTV700 Deuville, but it doesn't seem to be very challenging. I think that slow slalom is more challenging since the turns are really tight and the parking I was training on was quite bumpy.

I think 24 feet is a good standard, especially in the US. Almost all bikes can do 24 feet.

I'll just add that to get driving license in Poland you need to make figure eight 5 times in a 23x46 ft box on either Yamaha MT-07 or Suzuki Gladius. This is your first maneuver on exam, if you pass it you need to do slow slalom twice, quick (at least 30 kph) slalom twice and few other maneuvers, checking your ability to countersteer, emergency braking etc. Once you get them all correctly, you can proceed to the road test, where you ride through the city and an examination car follows you, giving you directions over the radio (e.g. "turn left on the next section", or "turn around on the first possible spot"). As I'm watching youtube videos I'm getting more and more convinced that Polish driving license examination is quite reasonable. It's not easy, but everyone who has a license has proven his/her ability to control the bike at slow speed, countersteer at higher speeds and riding in normal city traffic.

what gear do you ride in on CBF 125 - I suppose it's 2nd gear... I won a Honda CB 125 and mostly ride in 2nd
