They say and do out of pocket things because they feel like it highlights how grown they are (it does the exact opposite), and then repeat things like “I’m a woman now” or “this is not for kids” and they’re so excited by it. They’re so happy they have relationships/exes because that’s what grown adults do and they want so badly for the world to acknowledge how grown up they are, probably because for so long they were thought of as child-like.

It's not her fault that she couldn't develop properly; she wasn't allowed. It's possible that whatever substances her mom poisoned her with while she was growing up have stunted her development. Also that her mom kept her away from regular society on purpose. I believe she can still become a very functional adult but it will take some years.
I think her dad is a very good man and her younger stepsister, Mia, intelligent young woman and because she's had a normal life and childhood, way more mature than Gypsy. That is a fact. She acts like the older sister though she is younger in years. Gypsy is still behaving like a teenager cause she has never lived a normal, stable life. She was never told her real age by her mother so now she is acting very immature but what did y'all expect from a tortured soul with no guidance now?? Her mother, DeeDee abused her mentally, physically, medically and medicated her for diseases she didn't have, let a dentist take all her teeth out and I wished things had turned out otherwise but can't change the past. But if Gypsy would have been single when released from prison, seeked very effective therapy and just taken life 1 step at a time with a therapist to guide her forward, things would be different for her now and others. But it's like she is living fast life cause she is making up for lost time but in the wrong way. We haven't been in her shoes so I don't believe we should judge her or others, not our place. I've always said that Gypsy did what many incarcerated individuals do and that is having a person on the outside to "so time with..." Aka...a person who visits and writes and puts money on the books. Often these "supporters" are sadly being used and strung along all the way up until the release date or beyond until when they been free a bit, they finally do what they wanted all along and that means dipping out on the support person. Sucks but id hardly call the support person a victim. In this day and age, it's hard to not be aware of all sorts of things. This is no different. Such a common scenario

I was more stuck on his gastric sleeve comment. First off, they take almost 70%, not 30%. You're left with a stomach roughly the size of a banana. I stayed in contact with my high school boyfriend's mom after we broke up. But i never interfered in any of his relationships and i never asked his mom about his relationships and i sure NEVER said things like i should have never left him! Like what?! I would never disrespect him or his current partner like that. I'm still friends with her on Facebook even though i don't really use it anymore and it's been almost 20 years. Gypsy, her step mom, her husband and her new boyfriend are all strange. People who shouldn't have a platform or be "famous" in my opinion.

Her past trauma causes her to need cleanliness, and this makes sense. On the other side of things, if someone truly is hoarding food that’s typically a byproduct of past trauma as well. Most people who hoard food don’t do it for no reason. I find it so unsettling and icky of her to continue to bring this point up specifically to mock him over and over again. Her trauma is blinding her from the concept of empathy, and her platform is only pumping her ego. Shes mentally a teenager, and probably has no reason to grow up in her mind with everyone constantly praising her. Its like watching a villain’s origin story.

If I remember correctly the mom got full custody because she was a nurse or something to do with her being “sick”? And then she moved them away so they couldn’t visit/didn’t have visitation rights anyway.
Another aspect was that they were afraid Dee Dee would cut them off completely from Gypsy if they confronted her about anything, so they didn't feel like they could do much without risking never seeing Gypsy again. I think they may have suspected that something was up but just played along so they could keep in contact at the very least
Initially when I first heard about the case and I watched the documentaries, it was interesting and went on with life. When she got out, I was overwhelmed everywhere with her release in all forms of media she has been forced into. As an MD, I had questions about Dee Dee’s posthumous diagnosis of MBP and finding out about a chromosomal defect in GRB, but to get all this clout everywhere is so messy and it blows my mind how everything is Gypsy can’t be bad, you can’t be negative about her blah blah blah when a true advocate for MBP survivors (Kate) was bullied by GRB and her people off of SM! People have to remove the romanticization and the hyperbole, and enabling of her whole situation without in depth analysis.

She manipulated him and lied to him so many times through text messages. She knows a lot more than what people put on. She’s extremely highly manipulative and even the detectives on the case are still upset to this day that the DA gave her a plea that she was absolutely the mastermind of her crime. She grossly exaggerated many things for anyone to blindly believe anything that she says about what has happened to her in the past or even currently being really gullible at this point. Watching her interrogation alone proves that she is pathological liar. I had to watch it twice from my criminology class just to keep up with the amount of lies. She was telling. Where is Nick? His story has never changed since the beginning. He can bust right away told him everything because he’s on the spectrum. And what people don’t know is that people on the spectrum have very difficult timeline and are susceptible to manipulation and then he has multiple other disabilities on top of that. he was receiving disability checks for a reason and gypsy told him exactly what to do every single step of the way. She told him where to go in the house put on the gloves before entering the house. She even sent him a video acting out what to do proving that this man did not have full mental capacity as a functioning adult, but she did. She knew he had autism and she knew what buttons to price to finally get them to do this because he said no so many times, but she made it sound like her life depended on it when in reality she could’ve easily walked out that door.
This whole thing is messy. How did a true crime story turn into this. Imagine any other high profile case like this and imagine if they did this. It's bizarre 🙄😑
