The intro LMAO thats how you know it's avout to be an awesome video xD Love this deck, Luca! I remember when Ikoria dropped, and we first had this mill/clone shenanigans. So excited to see it back and stronger!!! You're the best!
I always wondered what deck could run all clones like that! I have a Brudiclad commander deck that's mostly clones/copy effects and I love it, but this is so funny
Oh mine had mill cards in it tho instead of having gyruda companion. I had him mainboard and a few copy creatures but it was more of a mill/control build
Angel is an option, although it would be difficult to hardcast and doesn't help establish our mana. It also means we have to keep an original Gyruda in play to flicker, potentially missing out on a Shield counter which can also be important. Innkeeper doesn't allow us to have the curve where we put Gyruda in hand and cast it on the following turn the same way we can with Druid or Scrapgorger + Haven or Spiral.
@@LegenVD you can use the treasure immediatly, the dorks have summoning sickness. Yes, the treasure is a one shot and is useless against Karn. But for me the Lifegain is more relevant for stabilize than the Graveyard Hate
@@kallit7279 Problem is if you use the Treasure to put Gyruda in hand on turn 3, you'll be one short of casting it on turn 4. The sequence like I explain in the intro is manadork on turn 2 and then either Growth Spiral or Haven + put Gyruda in hand on turn 3.
Oh, the new skeleton losing animation is only for Milling losing or what? I prefer it, I felt the explosion animation is somehow too dramatic and noisy for MTG from the very beginning.
I guess they learned the idea from Hearthstone, you lose, and simply you decide to explode, straightforward but flavorless for MTG, for a planeswalker defeat. The skeleton animation is not perfect for me, but at least they are trying new flavors, that's cool.
ah yes a based gyruda enjoyer. kinda sucked with companion being nerfed he was a casualty. i guess technically etali cant whiff much really but the he doesnt need conditions or bypass with deckbuilding constraints
No wispweaver angel? It kinda does the same thing as spark double, where you get a permanent creature. I've been playing this deck for at least a year with mythic many times and angel is great. I also played against yorion more times than I could count so i added one gaea blessing haha. The deck is good. It's a combo with your win card in the opening hand every time.
i think panharmonicon could be really interesting. 8 mills and 2 cards means the combo is exponential and you will never brick. keeping gyruda as a companion means you only need to draw into one card to guarantee the 1 hit ko, so the deck would probably run less clones with more ramp/tutoring and make mulliganing into panharmonicon effective. i could see an archetype working without companion and running 4 emry, 4 panharmonicon, 4 unburial rites, 4 gyruda, 8 clones and 8 ramp. pan-gyruda is mill 8 + 2 creatures, if lucky mill 16+4, otherwise 8+2. probably jankier to get started but more consistent when going.
The issue is Panharmonicon is already a slow card in a deck that can't afford to wait the extra turn. It would also introduce more cards that we can't hit with Gyruda in the first place. Might as well combo a turn sooner and if we fail to go off completely try again with a clone later. Missing out on the consistency of Gyruda as companion doesn't seem worth it to me.
