We did a great climbing and hiking tour in Saxon Switzerland. An exciting via ferrata awaits you, the outstanding view of the Carolafels and last but not least the Wilde Hölle.
R O U T E
We arrive by car and park in the hiking car park on Nassen Grund (alternative: car park at the Beuthenfall). It is also possible to travel with the historic Kirnitzschtalbahn, which has been running from Bad Schandau to the Lichtenhainer waterfall since 1898.
There is a charge for parking in the area (5 €). You should definitely have small change with you, because card payment was not possible there.
Our almost 7-kilometer tour starts from the parking lot. Along the Nassen Grund we first go to the Beuthenfalle. We like to follow the signs, but the via ferrata is not signposted at the beginning. That's why we use the Komoot app. We have linked the complete tour for you below.
After a few kilometers we reach the via ferrata. We prepare for the ascent, put on our via ferrata set and put on a helmet. The via ferrata has the level of difficulty B. A safety device is not absolutely necessary, but recommended. Airy iron steps and climbing passages lead up to the middle section. There the via ferrata leads further up through a very narrow chimney ascent. We climb up many ladders and get further up via a step between two rock faces. A breathtaking view into the depths invites you to linger for a while.
Arrived on the Langen Horn we are rewarded with a brilliant view over the national park. The Schrammsteine and the Falkenstein rise up in the background, which we have already looked at in another tour. The most difficult part of the tour is now done. Since the Häntzschelstiege can only be climbed to avoid oncoming traffic, we continue to the Carolafels. There, in our opinion, the most beautiful view in Saxon Switzerland awaits us, which we have all to ourselves. We meet very few people throughout the tour. On our way back we still have to go through the Wild Hell. A somewhat more demanding path on rocky ground leads us next to moss-covered rock walls through this narrow gorge back to our starting point.

Eine schöne Wanderung in der Sächsischen Schweiz! Das dort ältere Bahnen fahren hat style! Super Videoqualität und schöne Ausblicke. Das klettern hat bestimmt spaß gemacht. Ich freue mich auf mehr! LG Simon
