The reason that our cars already had the steering wheel on the left side is that we imported most of the cars from countries around in Europe that already drove on the right side. The switch was planned a long time before it actually took place and therefor vehicles with the steering wheel on the right side was never a good idea in the first place.
Der er glædeligt at sporvognene ikke blev slagtet i Gøteborg, som tilfældet desværre var i Stockholm. De stockholmske sporvogne blev flammernes bytte, og som undskylning blev omlægningen til højretrafik anvendt.

I'm sure it must have been very weird to have to learn to drive on the other side of the street, not to mention having to learn to look the other way before you crossed the street. I'm surprised that all the vehicles appear to have have left-hand drive already, even before the switch. Of course that would've made the process easier. There are probably not many people left who remember driving on the left by now.
