Moananuiākea brings the Hōkūle‘a vessel back to Ketchikan. The summer of 2023 has reinvigorated traditional sea exploration in Ketchikan. By returning to Southeast Alaska, the Polynesian Voyaging Society demonstrated their determination to preserve their ancestral lifestyles and forge future paths of exploration for their descendants.
