H.E.A.R.T. Program 

As we celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office announces its H.E.A.R.T. program. The focus of the Hispanic Education Advocacy and Resource Team (H.E.A.R.T.) is to reach out to the Hispanic/Latino community to reduce language and cultural barriers, diminish the presence of fear of intimidation between law enforcement and Latino people, and to establish policies for handling diverse cultural issues.
