Christina Aguilera is like a tribute roller coaster, when she did James Brown's tribute, this is a man's world, I mean you were left completely speechless
She's better than average, but we need to be honest about a thing or two. She's really built her career imitating BW (literally admitted to trying to imitate Whitney Houston and Aretha franklin). Yet, BW (and men) are considered "too urban" to go mainstream. These days, WP prefer their soul music come from other WP -- rather than BP. If a BP wants to make it in the music industry, they basically have to be a rapper.
@@chocolateangel8743 She has never hidden the fact that she was hugely inspired by old time singers and more contemporary big singers. Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and even more Etta James. She even made a full tribute song to the people that paved the way on her Back to Basics album. It's not imitation, it's inspiration. She listened to those artists all the time as a child so it's normal that they effected the way she sings. Just as young artists now are being inspired by her and singers of her generation.

Even Lizzo isn't that dark, which highlights colorism and racism. When we talk about BM rappers, there is no shortage of darker-skinned BM. BW (that look black) don't get opportunities because they are black. This is some Jim Crow stuff. If you don't know what Jim Crow laws are, you should look them up.

She has fantastic musicality, great agility, wonderful soft tones, and is undeniably great. I just don’t like when she belts extremely chesty trying to show off like she does here. Doesn’t sound good imo.
I just love Keith Urban!!! He was amazing on this song, H.E.R. was amazing as well, and Christina Aguilera is ALWAYS AMAZING!! What a way to honor the Queen of Rock and Roll Tina Turner!!! She may no longer be with us, but her music lives forever
@@dexterdean It's true. She used more vocal acrobatics, sustained longer notes and everything. Singing is very technical. There are things that can be measured. Even her guitar passages were more complex than his.

To be fair she has 7 Grammys and is praised by the likes of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Etta James, Patti Labelle and countless more divas to be one of the best singers of her generation as well as cited by every pop girl today as an inspiration. I don’t know how much more recognition one can get lol. But I guess today‘s kids need to give her flowers too bc Christina has always been THAT girl👏👏

H.E.R. and Keith kill the guitar solos and that vocal Arrangement was not bad at all fire for certain however Christine Aguilera killed it she made that song her own the great and comparable icon now ancestor Tina Turner would have loved that rendition actually both Renditions bravo bravo definitely fire
She's a powerhouse but I don't think anyone steals the show from H.E.R. She is tremendously talented. Sings, plays guitar, piano, bass, harp - I'm in awe of her. Shes like a female Prince.
I think Christina only did okay here. She used too much distortion in her voice, and it sounded like her voice went out several times -- because she was getting tired. I actually think Mickey did better.
No. That crap sounded horrible. The background singers carried her songs. She was more focused on showing off than singing the actual songs. All I heard from Aguilera was “Yeeeeah” and a bunch of grunted notes throughout the songs. Mickey Guyton could have done the tribute by herself.

A ‘Tribute to Tina’! Really? A tall task. 👌 That said, they did it, they gave it more than a solid go. Sweet intro moment, between HER and Keith, including the crowd cam of NK celebrating KU. Mickey slayed her performance imo, 👏 and Christina A, is usually always an incredible performance, the background singers were also as was said in another comment, impressive. As such it seems, Tina would smile at this. The crowd was also 🙂, 👏.

I just wonder how Christina’s career trajectory would be different if she focused solely on rock… she has the voice for it, it might make more sense than the pop or reggaetón she’s done recently. But I love her version of “La Reina” (El Rey).

Christina Aguilera is my favorite singer of all time but I gotta give the best performance to Mickey Guyton, she hit every note perfectly and it was a great rendition.

Absolutely ❤❤❤ all performances. We landed 2 country artists, one R&B and one Pop star, mixed them together, and got a treat! H.E.R and Keith Urban rocked vocals along with guitar solos. Been rocking with Mickey Guyton who is a Black Country Singer with amazing vocals - check out her song titled Black Like Me. Of course Christina desrves her accolades no doubt. I smiled the entire performance.
Gabriella Wilson better known as H.E.R.. ( Having Everything Revealed) is a musical prodigy for those who don't know. Singing and playing instruments since she was a little kid. I've been following her music since 2016, she is an amazing singer/musician. Worth going to see live.
