@@h.j7606 Just Ignore that one Its just a lost Indon rambling nothing BTW, i am curious. Why the "accidental" Power Down that you did on the earlier phase of the run?
Do you know any development details of Psikyo Striker's 2020. Seen some images of the background stages and the fighters are WW2 planes. Thought Psikyo would have developed a futuristic space shoot-em-up and use some creativity like Gunbird2, Dragon Blaze. But going back to WW2 theme seems like a step back to save development time when the game was due to be released in 2020 but obviously delayed due to pandemic
Incredible run! definitely one of best stg runs i've ever seen, if it's possible to answer, how muchdoes stage order like that[assuming it's best] gain over default stage order you get on boot?
If you are asking questions in order up to stage 4, it is best to come out in the order of Russia - Australia (changed the order of stage 1 and 2 according to the video). If it comes out in Russia-Australia order, it will be 900 points higher than the score at the end of stage 4 shown in the video.
If you're asking about the overall finish score, you can get over 3.59 million right now. However, it is not an easy score as it requires a lot of luck.
@@h.j7606 Thank you for answering, I'm looking to 2-all in future, maybe with some decent score to it as well, i wanted to try to get all tech kills and doubles, however i'd probably change it to ignore 2-5 double because it's very nerve wrecking to not mess up damage menagement in here, mostly as i don't believe i can nmnb and 3/9 finish, 3mil would be great score definitely even if it's far from anything impressive
For Stage 6 double, how do you approach doing the pattern fired as boss' core opens?, as it appears in my practice attempts that depending on moment you destroy boss' first phase, pattern you get on it is completely different, and cannot be dodged the same way, do you have any advice on handling that pattern?
Rather than giving advice on how to do it, you need to understand the Geobite pattern. Although the way Geobite fires bullets seems to be fixed, in fact, it shoots by aiming, so you need to guide the aiming bullets. As you can see in the video, it attaches to the right, goes out to the left, and then attaches to the right again. This is how the aiming bullet is guided. And the reason it's attached to the right is to avoid the laser. Geobite has different patterns and understanding methods for each player, so you have no choice but to find a method that suits you.
@@h.j7606 I have found now way to deal with it, but thank you for answer regardless. I haven't realized that Geobite's tech attack depends on his position on the screen when you end phase 1, I could not get it to work properly, as i was finishing him later into the pattern where he is moving last time from left to right before timeout, which effectively turned this pattern to be completely random. Now after realizing my mistake, i have started using slightly modified CYS-SAK's movement pattern for that attack present in his 3.50m video. My next goal will be trying to work on 1-7 and attempt on achieving score of at least 218.000[This video reaches 219.900, however i'm not sure if i will be able to speedkill stage enemies sufficiently quickly to match that score]. My End Goal for now will be achieving a score of 1.290.000 or higher in first loop on a credit.
For stage 7[both 1-7 and 2-7], what determines how high your score on the stage is going to be? I have gotten a stage completion with an all chain, and it ended up as 221.000 which is lower than both this run[221.300 with -1400 from missing one of medals] and solo play of yours of 2-7[225.200 all chain]
Medals are important, but how many small planes appear on the field is also important. You can earn from 2,000 to 4,000 points, I've been playing 1999 for a long time, but I'm not sure how to get more small planes.
@@h.j7606 Thanks for answering, I was hoping you might know something that could help with the stage, but it's fine regardless. I'm almost done practicing the game, with only things left to do being increasing consistency on 2-7 and working on entire 2-8.
What's the reasoning for powering down 1st stage? I'm guessing a few additional power up planes for extra points. Stage 5 technical bonus was strange the way the boss forced you to bomb Insane run
The reason for 1 Stage Power Down is to summon one more power item to obtain additional power points. If you follow the video, you can get 1 additional Power. However, additional summoning of 1-1 Power is possible only in Russia and Australia. 5 Stage Double Technical is to control the H.P of the Boss and hit Bomb Damage and Shot Damage at the same time, destroying the Core and the Boss body at the same time. If only the Core is destroyed, it is 50,000 points, but it is given up to the Boss's body destruction point, which is 50,000 + 30,000 = 80000 points.
@@h.j7606 Understood. just didn't even think it was possible because I thought Psikyo had removed that strategy out of Striker's 1999 to stop gamers exploiting that strategy for high scoring runs as had done in the previous Striker's 1945 and Striker's 1945-2. Amazing job on exploiting the medals collect on the final Boss which is not easiest thing to do from a skill point. Never seems to amaze me that despite the original arcade coin-up is over 20yrs old that were gamers out there pushing the limits of what is possible. Now that there is a big push for shooting titles onto mobile port like what Mobrirx publisher is doing with a few of the Psikyo titles, I wonder in time if we see a similar level of high shooting skillsets on smartphone. Even though it is not quite the same as playing on Jamma PCB, PC, Console. I guess it about adapting to the challenge of the game, regardless of the port.
@@marten-o-clock The reason Geobite scores higher than Crossblade is because of Undead Technical. If you watch the video, you can see that Geobite is alive even though Technical Clear was successful. The score is higher because you use a special technique that separately acquires the Boss' Core destruction score and the Boss' body destruction score. (Core destruction 36,000 + Boss body destruction 20,000) CrossBlade cannot be played the same, and while Double Technical is possible in a similar way to Stage 5 Boss, the chance of success is very low, making it less useful. An additional difference is that choosing Geobite gives you a higher score as there are more small planes that appear on the left and right sides.
This method can only be used with the 6Stage Boss Geobite and 7Stage Boss Shadow. It is called Undead Technical. If the boss destroys the core the moment the core is closed, the core destruction score is acquired and the boss's body remains alive. In that state, if you destroy the Boss right before self-destruction, it will be given up to body destruction score (Technical Bonus Score + Boss Distruction Score).
