I've never been one for audiobooks. I prefer to have the actual physical copy of the book if I can. A few years ago I stumbled upon wayne June's narrations of lovecraft and fell in love with listening to him recount the stories (I can tell lovecrafts writing is rubbing off on me. I'm using flowery language again XD) When I started working nightshift, I found I started to listen to more podcasts and audiobooks, really as much as I could get my hands on, then I stumbled across this video. Basically tl;dr before I start using words like cyclopean, the narration is so beautifully done. Great story, and props to the narrator
Terrifically well suited to reading Lovecraft coz he's got a Wayne June quality to his voice when he wants. And the only reasonable complaint about WJ's versions is he didn't record enough of them.
except that wayne june does really annoying voices that take away from the experience. conrad feininger and gordon gould are the epitome of lovecraft audiobooks.
