Please look into possibly doing a video on the Gran Turismo franchise's menu music! I promise you won't regret hearing the OSTs if you haven't already 🙏
The word "mix". Some Japanese characters you don't understand. A race car pictured against a grunge grey background. The GT logo. You press play. Of course - it's pure hit!
Two of my favourite Working music: Vapourwave and GT music are now combined into one!? Am I in heaven right now!? 😭😭😭thanks so much for making this man❤
10 years ago when i was a kid i used to play this game with my father four hours in the very few times he stayed with me and coming from a situation where a younger me remembers seeing that same dude hit my mother in front of me to then see him playing with me rally races while using the Mitsubishi rally cars, i trully hated him for what he did but other part of me misses him so much since he got killed in the father's day( i still have the gift i make him) i needed him, i needed a father figure, i cried and hated my self to self harm at 13...i don't know why but is a trauma that still hurts knowing that dudes two faces of the same coin
Remember, guys and gals: some of the original music that Polyphony Digital made for GT4 was used in menus the player would see for seconds at best. Attention to the last detail, thy name is Polyphony Digital. Turn 10, take note.
This is too good, I thought it was like an official remix but that would be unusual. I was expecting the normal soundtrack but it was a nice surprise and works really well.
I've wanted this for so long. I'd always type in "Gran Turismo type jazz" but nothing ever quite came close to the vibe of the early menu themes. This scratches that itch perfectly.
"I own absolutetly nothing and I take no credit at all"....that´s how life is going for me too.... just surviving in this world full of greedy monsters, marketing strategies and soulless influencers
Так вот как чувствовали себя ребята на первых версиях PS2X2) В ГТ4 всё еще лучший саундтрек, такой который сохранил эту самобытность данной серии и гоночных игр того времени. Очень жаль, но такого уже не будет...
Everything about this just hits me right in the childhood memories and experiences. Everything just feels so right, the artwork, the car, the music, that Sony logo. Everything. PS2, Gran Turismo, those hot summer days - booting up the game. Thank you, kind sir.
Mfs in the comments don’t know the difference between hating someone and criticising someone. Y’all definitely Kanye fans. OMG MOST HATED, bro just got called an idiot for being an idiot lol
it's crazy to think that there are now legal adults having nostalgia for a game they didn't grow up playing. love to see it, go EMU GT4 and enjoy what some of us did when we were young
Absolutely beautiful sounds, thank you for modernising the epic game music for GT4. If you can, please look into the game music for Project IGI and IGI2. Truly excellent and epic music ripwfor the remixing! I think you'll love it if you love this. Thank you!
In the third track 05:54 Dream Machine (Hypnosis) the entire arrangement is based on the Soviet song "Uchkuduk" by the vocal instrumental ensemble "Yalla" from 1982. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qr9EVULUGJs.html
as explained in the description, this is just a compilation with slightly modified versions of the original Gran Turismo 4 OST composed by Isamu Ohira!
What version of machine test is that though? Originally I thought you were slowing down the tracks, but now it seems like you've actually modified and rearranged them? That bassline is distinct from the original used in machine test
Sure, sometimes I rearrange them and add different drums, pads, bass, etc. For this mix I don't recall doing much of that, just basic rearragement. The original sample should be the GT4 version but I might have downloaded the wrong one!
I never had an interest in cars or racing games, but I had demos disks of these games on PS1 back in the day and I always thought "WHY IS THE MUSIC FOR A RACING GAME SO CHILL AND GOOD" While it feels idiosyncratic in that sense, I'm mostly just glad the music exists at all, and we all get to enjoy it. It's cool that you're familiar enough with the original versions to notice the differences in the tracks.
