Ladies and Gentlemen, the passenger carrier is one of the vehicle people looking for recently. It can take more people in just 1 car but still more private and convenient with its dimension. This time the new player from China, Foton is challenging the Japanese legend, The Toyota Hiace.
Foton works with Cummings to supply the power plant and combine with what is similar frame of Toyota HiAce.

I've had the foton royal saloon for 6 years and I recommend this car. We travel around Australia with the family and it drives very good. I rate it 5 stars, would recommend anyone looking to buy it.

Anyone who buys a multi seat van is going to do a lot of miles in it and needs it to be reliable. The Chinese have not mastered quality engineering or safety yet, so you just know that any money you save by purchasing the Foton will be spent on repairs to keep it going over the miles / years.

Yo les comento la diferencia entre la marca japonesa y la china, son los materiales que usan cada uno de ellos, compramos varias camionetas de las cuales una sola toyota, las otras eran chinas y en el transcurso de un año cada una de las chinas sufrían distintos defectos, una de ellas era los amortiguadores, seguido por el sistema de dirección y que hablar del motor en dos años un promedio de 40000 de km. comenzó a fallar el turbo y el sistema de inyección y el precio es alto para la reparación, mientras tanto el toyota hiace en en momento cumplió 4 años con 300000 mil de km solamente necesita los cambios de aceite de motor, caja, transmisión, cambio de frenos y llantas y las camionetas chinas la vendieron en dos años de uso y nadie la querían tenían que bajar sus precios y en la actualidad el toyota hiace de nombre de cariño Leo sigue en pie, intacto en su estructura, sus asientos, tablero, la suspensión y todo, entonces hagan un esfuerzo y compren una marca reconocida y no una imitación.

Cuanta razón llevas, prueba de ello es una Toyota Coaster (huevito) que tengo VS las Joylong / Denway Coaster que tienen otros, la mía podrá ser más antigua en cuanto al tema de años, pero tiene un mejor acabado, ya que estas Coaster chinas modernas, en un par de años ya hasta su interior se deteriora rápidamente, se le empiezan a caer los pernos, se rompen los plásticos, el tapiz, etcétera.

Son más económicas; si consideras usarla para transporte urbano (véase en el Perú por ejemplo), creo que te conviene irte por una Joylong u otra marca China 0 km., ya que en tres años (más o menos así te puede durar sin darte dolores de cabeza) recuperas tu inversiòn y obtienes cierto margen de ganancias. Luego de ello, si se te malogra el motor, le pones un Mitsubishi 4DXX (33, 34, etc), y con ese motor ya tienes para rato. Actualmente en casa hemos comprado también un microbús chino, marca DongFeng, con motor Cummins chino para transporte urbano, y tenemos pensado que cuando el motor muera, ponerle un motor de importaciòn Mitsubishi 4D34 con turbointercooler.

The only good thing about the Foton is the cummins engine. They are known to be powerful and last a long time. i don't know about the cost of maintenance/repairs though as it is made in the U.S.A

Wrong info about the Hiace. The output that was posted was from 2KD non vnt engine and not from 2GD engine.

En conclusion es mejor el foton con su gran motor cummins y hasta en el precio es mejor . Ya me imagino ahora esa foton mejorada con el mismo precio de la toyota seria una locura .

no me parece justa la comparación... TOYOTA está compitiendo con su motor y su chasis mas carrocería... en cambio CUMMINS está compitiendo solo el motor...ya que la marca foton no pasa nada... cummins es otro nivel... creo que si se le pusiera motor cummins a toyota.. sería un super carro..

Los motores cummins que lleva foton son hechos en China, no son los mismos modelos que los fabricados en USA, tienen problemas de diseño y se desgastan rapidamente, la Cummins Usa no tiene los repuestos para los motores chinos-

JORGEIVAN jajaja vos no tenés idea decís que todos fallan y no es así por eso digo cummins hecho china o no igual está respaldado originalmente por cummins usa es más te digo quw igual la marca esa acá la usaron rn colectivos o buses como quieras llamarlos tatsa puma deutz fue un fracaso en cambio de todos los cummins que vi pocos fallaron eso si largan muchos humo y todo depende de la calidad del combustible también pero volviendo a lo otro te lo digo porque lo se así empezo foton con cummins todo ensamblaje después se empezó algunos motores fabricados allá pero para algunos modelos también tiene partes de afuera depende el mercado y soy de un país que va a recibir de esta marca mejores modelos que el tuyo jaja
