This little known band was actually not from Seville, but theirs being one of the rarer 45 from Diábolo and having a style that could find its connections to the earlier Sevillian pop bands that gave birth to the ’70’s rock scene of the city, we have decided to include both sides of their lone single from Diábolo as a bonus for these compilation. H2O were formed by Angel Albalate on drums? Julio Mendibe (later known as a solo singer under the monicker of Oscar Janot) on organ, Patxi Oroz on bass and Matio Latorre on guitar, under the musical direction of Carlos Laporta. Their single was prewired in Madrid on a night club in Plaza del Callao, where they performed during one week. They also featured on the legendary 1971 Granollers progressive music festival and remained until 1973 / 74, doing some further recordings for the Spiral label which have not seen the day until the date. All their members have kept more or less in the music world since then.
