The afternoon of this day started pretty much the same as another one with a spraying helicopter. The work was in progress, the amount of sprayed hectare increased, when suddenly the weather blew up! The pilot decided to finish the job immediately, and flew back to the farmyard. We were lucky, we managed to get down from the air right before the supercell arrived and caught us...
Fortunately the ice came with lots of rain, so it was not harmful for the helicopter.
HA-HSF was produced in 1976 at Kumertau (Russia), she started her career in the fleet of Aeroflot as CCCP-19668. Later she become UR-19668 and was used for pipeline control in the Kiev region under Spec-Avia titles. She stood derelight for some years in Kiev-Borodyanka airfiled, then in 2011 Urbán Ltd. bought and brought her to Hungary. She got the current registration nr. and started to operate as a crop duster helicopter with HA-MMD and HA-MRN. Her main base now is at Őcsény airfield.
Kamov Ka-26 is a multi-purpose, light helicopter, invented by N.I. Kamov in the middle of the 1960s. First flight of this type was in August 18, 1965, she was mainly used for training flights, agricultural tasks, passenger transport, cargo transport, pipe inspection and also for traffic controll by the State Automobile Inspectorate (GAI). This type has two Vedeneyev M14-V-26 petrol powered, four stroke radial engines with 9 cyl. and 325 hp each. Due to the relatively low airspeed of the helicopter, to maintain the proper cylinder head and oil temperatures the engines were produced with an iron fan, which makes the unique siren sound, and it is often believed that Ka-26 is driven by gas turbines. Thanks to the co-axial main rotor system this type is extremely benign, the vast majority of pilots loves and loved it to fly.
Agricultural versions had pressurized cockpit, where the pressure was made by that "nose" on the front of the canopy, which is called separator. This thing pumped outside air through a carbon filter into the pilots cabin providing clean air.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
A HA-HSF 1976-ban készült Kumertauban (Oroszország), az Aeroflot kötelékében kezdett repülni CCCP-19668-as lajstromjellel.
A Kamov Ka-26-os egy többcélú, könnyű helikopter, N.I. Kamov által került kifejlesztésre az 1960-as évek közepén. Első repülése 1965.augusztus.18.-án történt, alapvetően mezőgazdasági, személy- és teherszállítási, vezeték-ellenőrzési feladatkörökre használták, de alkalmazta forgalomellenőrzésre az orosz közlekedésrendészet (GAI) is. A típus kettő Vegyenejev M14-V-26 benzinüzemű, négyütemű, 9 hengeres, egyenként 325 lóerő leadására képes csillagmotorral lett felszerelve. A helikopter viszonylag alacsony sebessége miatt, a megfelelő hengerfej- és olajhőmérsékletek fenntartásának érdekében a motorok öntöttvas ventillátorral készültek, ennek köszönhetik egyedi, "sikító" hangjukat, ami miatt gyakran hiszik, hogy a Ka-26-ost gáztubinák hajtják. A koaxiális elrendezés miatt ez a típus rendkívül jóindulatú, a pilóták döntő többsége szereti és szerette repülni.
A mezőgazdasági változatok túlnyomásos kabinnal készültek, amit a helikopter elején található "nózival", az úgynevezett szeparátorral oldottak meg. A szeparátor a külső levegőt egy speciális szénszűrőn keresztül pumpálta a kabinba, ezzel biztosítva tiszta levegőt a pilótának.

On that type of helicopter how id the body rotated to change heading? Can one rotor be braked?
@BazilRat
@BazilRat 4 года назад
@@caahacky I think they do it by changing the pitch of the blades, rather than the speed. If one rotor's taking a bigger 'bite' of the air, it'll apply more torque to the body than the other.
@planegaper
@planegaper 4 года назад
@@caahacky nope, they are geared to run at the same speed, there is a regular rudder system on the rear for when you are moving along, and rotor pitch " Rotational maneuvering, yaw control, is accomplished by increasing the collective pitch of one rotor and decreasing the collective pitch on the other. This causes a controlled dissymmetry of torque." , so effectively you are kind of correct, the load is increased on one rotor, thus affecting the fuselage , but the speed of the rotor is always constant.. don't ask me how this is done, probably through the pedals, and are linked with the rudder system.. Tomi would know what happen's up in the Swash plate..once the thing is moving forward , the rudder comes into the equation and and you have both systems working..thing's like a bloody mosquito..that kinda flying would fuck the rotor system on a 47, or a R44, for the 26? it's just Tues night..
