If you like korean dramas with a realistic or dark story line like SKY Castle, here are my personal recommendations! - World of The Married: Centered around a successful older woman that seems to have it all, her life slowly unravels after she realizes her perfect husband may not be so perfect after all - and nothing in her life is actually what it seems to be. It's a character driven psychological drama. - My Mister (My Ajusshi): A middle-aged man and a young woman form a relationship (not romantic) and begin to lean on one another as they each endure the harsh realities life throws at them. Realistic portrayal of poverty without the romanticization; also deals with family dynamics. - Save Me: A family on the verge of homelessness is taken in by a local community, which unbeknownst to them is a religious cult. The daughter of the family fights to escape and rescue her now indoctrinated family. - Beautiful World: A family's life is torn apart when their child is put into a coma due to school violence. Believing a student with a wealthy background is the cause, the parents attempt to reveal this truth in a battle that puts classism into the spotlight. Subverts expectations. - Incomplete Life (Misaeng): The show follows a young man in his late-20's who has nothing to his name except a GED. After gaining acceptance for an internship at a prestigious company, the story examines difficulties of the work place such as sexism, nepotism, ageism, and classism. - Rain or Shine (also called 'Just Between Lovers'): The show centers around two adults who experienced a traumatic event when they were kids, forever changing their life. The story follows their process of healing as well as how they deal with the repercussions that follow such as PTSD, poverty, and grief. - Lost (2021): A story that follows a 40 year old woman suffering from severe depression and a 27 year old escort unsure of his life and merely existing on a day-to-day basis. The two form a deep bond with one another and become a solace in each other’s lives. It deals with depression, suicide, poverty, and grief. - Extracurricular: Gives the perspective of the disillusioned youth through various characters and provides insight on societal issues, including but not limited to: prostitution, bullying, abusive relationships, and the education system.
" PLAY WITH THE MASK TO HIDE THE TRUTH " the lyrics that everyone can relate👏 after watching sky castle I realized that this kind of tragedy and people are really existing and I find myself one of them
Almost two years have passed since I’ve watched Sky Castle, and this story, this song still haunts me in a way. It was beautifully written and produced, probably the first time a TV series still haunts me after years, probably because it’s so close to what really happens in our world, but also because this end leaves us incomplete, like we were left on a cliffhanger...
This Korean drama made by so many feelings....Happy, sad, surprise, joy, love, guilty, anger, ambitious, hate, proud, shame, afraid, missing your loved ones.... and i think every teachers students and parents should watch this...
Everytime this songs played, my SkyCastle heart is shouting. What a perfect OST for the Drama. It really shows the overall context of SkyCastle. I always got Goosebumps everytime I heard this. Props to SkyCastle team and the OST. MASTERPICE INDEED!!!

I was amazed when I first heard the voice and lyrics of this song, it's very actual in life, a song that really gives peace when I'm nervous about facing life, that everything isn't always there.
After searched for stay with me of goblin, this was the theme song of a drama i searched for. I love how this song plays in the beginning and in the end of each episode. Song and scenes in drama have synchronised well. Love this.
This is an awkward thing to watch when a month from now I have an exam for medical school entrance , the fact that I'm doing it for my parents doesn't help lol I'm basically torturing myself in my netflix breaks between studying. I haven't finished it yet but I hope they all get into University, it will break my heart otherwise
I laughed my way through Sky Castle. I don't think it was designed as a comedy but it was by far the most unintentionally funny K-drama I've watched in ages. Every conversation was screamed and very little seemed even remotely relatable emotionally, socially or cerebrally; the husbands and wives positively LOATHED each other and nobody had a normal human friendship with ANYBODY, not even their own immediate family. Insane and thus, hilarious. I also confess to blubbing mawkishly through so much of Crash Landing on You. K-dramas bring out really cartoonish versions of my emotions and I love it! I wonder which K dramas people most passionately recommend? I'd love to check them out. PS= I've written down your recommendations as your synopses all sound fantastic! THANK YOU for taking the time to write it all out for us! 🙏💖
I think that’s partially what made it so entertaining, was that it wasn’t a melodrama so much as it was a black comedy. I think the actors did a good job conveying that air of absolute ridiculousness haha. And ty !! I try to update it but the list is getting a little too long lol
this song lyrics are true for human in this entire world are all lie for their sake yes me also got goosebumps everytime this song playing at the end of story omg
