This video actually started the idea of making drone montages on our channel! I shot the floating village that day and just cut up some stuff that ended up being this. The fog added so much! In this part, it's truly beautiful but you're right - it's absolutely madness in the cities. Poverty is definitely visible around Vietnam, it's just a completely different world.

This is an amazing village. We were offered a cabbage dinner here, by an amazing couple...we opened for some rice wine instead... Great memories...such a beautiful place. When we were there, they did not have kayaks for rent, so we showed pics to a man, he found us two small sail boats, and some plumbing tubes which he made paddles out of wood with, and rented them out to us. So much fun...of course the paddle broke a few hours in... Great shots guys...and have fun exploring.
Hahaha that is an amazing story. It's things like that you can't plan for that make these trips so memorable. But yes, this place was crazy beautiful. I keep thinking I've found the most beautiful place on earth and then we travel somewhere else!
Amazing atmosphere. Great use of drone footage to show the scale. You should head to Inle Lake in Myanmar to see the floating villages and gardens there (they grow tomatoes on/in the lake). Which DJI drone are you using here?

We'd love to watch! Also, I use the DJI Mavic Pro. It's the perfect travel drone - I still think it beats the Mavic Air by a little bit.
Sure do have a video, including some drone footage using a phantom 4 pro, link below. I'm keen to try out a Mavic Pro, especially since it just isn't practical to travel with phantom especially on your own, I'm keeping an eye out for a good deal as I travel. Do you find the weather/wind conditions affect a Mavic more? Simon, I just watched your video highlighting Inle Lake's floating villages. It's fantastic! We are definitely going to add it to our list. Thanks for showing. As for drone talk, the Mavic actually resists wind speeds just as good as the Phantom series - I used to work for DJI and have tested every quadcopter they have. I stand by the Mavic Pro (even with the new Mavic Air out) but if you're thinking about going to the Mavic, hold off until the summer. Can't say anything but it'll be worth it :)
damn, your 480p looks like my 1080. Would you mind sharing your settings? 4k, 24p, d-log, polarpro, 1/50 shutter, what more? do you use a 1080 timeline? noise-reduser?
haha of course man! I just watched another of your videos, yours looks good! They say you are always your own hardest critic :P Anyways, setting we use are 4k at 40 fps (so we can keep our vlogs and drone shots in the same frame rate). I used to shoot d-log but switched back to standard color because I found on foggy days like this, the colors were impossible to pull out. I only use D-Log if it's an partly cloudy day with the colors bright and contrast low. Polar Pro ND8 and a 1080 timeline in Premiere. This one is 1080 but our others we used a 4k timeline. 1/60 shutter (due to the 30fps) I didn't use a noise reducer on this one actually, I wish I had on some shots but I can't find one for free and easy to use. Mainly colored it in Premiere. That's about it! No tricks or anything, just making sure shooting in Manual!
