Wow just wow to the boat lady who approached the cruise ship kind of stealthy way and used a butterfly net to deliver beer cans up to your room! Business savvy 😱😆
Thanks, Mina! We appreciate you following along for so long and always commenting. :) And yeah…we can’t get over Hays’s vocabulary lately either! Today we lost a toy car and he told me “maybe it vanished.” 🤣
I loved the part when the lady pulled up beside you on her boat to sell stuff! Lol. My family is from Vietnam, but I live in California and have only been to visit once and hope to see Ha Long Bay next time!!
So entrepreneurial! We got a big kick out of it. Thanks for watching and I hope you get to visit again soon. We’d love to spend more time there. Such a bummer that they only offer 30 day visas.
The trash is so unfortunate and really needs to be taken care of. However, I heard that depending on the weather (monsoon, etc.) it can bring in more trash. But still, they should figure a way to remove the trash at such beautiful locations as it ruins it for me when I'm marveling at mother nature's splendor only for it to be marred by trash everywhere. And for places like Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, and Ha Giang Loop, etc., a drone is a MUST. I thought the drone shots really added to the video. :)
It’s a bummer for sure but certainly not unique to Vietnam unfortunately! I think if we didn’t have a two year old we’d have justified a drone by now, but honestly I already have too many things to keep up with and what feels like no time to set up shots or use a drone. But it sure would be fun and enhance our videos…I agree!
@@StephandPete True...you've got to carry a lot around with a toddler, a drone would be too much. BTW, check out Alright Anton's recent video on Ninh Binh...really beautiful!
Some of Thailand’s beaches have this problems too!!😰 The town councils take care of them everyday. But at some reclusive beaches the expats and Thai local communities join forces to clear up the trashes. Thanks to their solidarity!!🙏🙏👍👍🌈🇹🇭
Hays asking why the about the fishies, Pete should have answered, "Because mommy has very crusty feet!" Hahaha! And he was too cute asking why the fishies splashed you guys.
I love to leave this little moments in because they're exactly what I know we'll enjoy watching back in the future (and that's our number one priority: to document this amazing year for our family.) So it's so nice to hear when others enjoy those moments as well. :) Thanks, Jo!
Another Great video c: I think this was actually one of your better edited videos? It flows really well at least. Sorry I didn't watch right away, I caught covid a few days ago😭 Terrible headache and dizziness at first but im ok now. I've been given medication. It's really funny that you had the drone thing this video because in the last video I recorded before getting covid, I bought a drone! xD I'm really excited to try and get some good footage with it. I want to use it especially around the traditional Korean temples etc because I'm sure they'll look amazing. Great video as always ^~^
Ahhh, so sorry you caught Covid! Hope you're on the mend. I regret not getting a drone earlier in our travels...we've been so many places that would have been cool from that perspective. Can't wait to see what you've captured in Korea. We're toying with coming back in August or so, if we can swing it. We miss it a lot! Thanks for watching! Funny...I thought this one was a bit sloppy as I'm in a hurry to get caught up so I'm not so far behind, because it's so much more fun to release them while we're still in the country and can get feedback, recommendations, etc.
@@StephandPete I'm getting better. The first 24 hours were horrible but honestly the symptoms went mostly pretty fast. hopefully I'll be fully better in a few days. You should have got a drone in Yongsan! I got the brand new DJI mini 3 because it seems like the perfect drone for me, especially when I already use the pocket. Only 1 million KRW in Yongsan (probably alot cheaper than most places). If you do come back, I'd love to see you guys for a few hours somewhere! I would definitely find some fun recommendations for places to visit! perhaps outside of seoul. I still really want to go to that water park in Yesan Splas Resom, and I know kelly wants to go to a water park somewhen too so that'd be alot of fun. I'm sure hayes would love something like that c: Or if we go somewhere where we can use the drone I'll happily share the footage with you if you have a laptop to put it onto or something. I can definitely see the appeal of uploading closer to the time to get peoples feedback and thoughts on things to do while you're in a place. If I had a larger audiance I think I'd be pressured to do the same.
I’m conflicted, I want Steph and Pete to have a drone too…but I also want to watch five minutes of will or won’t the fisherman’s bucket get stuck. Go forward, stylistically compatible ? I don’t know. Oh, and all of sudden, to me, Hays went from baby/toddler to full on little boy.
Certainly not mutually exclusive! Can you imagine if we combined the two? RU-vid stardom! 😂😂😂 I want a drone so bad but know as soon as I purchased one I’d be kicking myself for not having it months ago. Hays has grown soooo much and talks non stop these days. Which is mostly cute. Occasionally very obnoxious if I’m honest. 🙃
@@StephandPete I'm just a funnin' you as 10 and 11 were very generous to book your trip for a 3-day cruise like that. And they deserve the "palace" as it is an amazing milestone for them. Congrats to them on so many years together and many more to come!
more lucky than we was with Pegasus cruise.. The room was tiny, and the food was awful, only seafood, even though we said we didnt like that in advance.. Not even pommes frites was possible to get. The wurst experience i had on my Vietnam trip.. And the water was polluted ! This was september 2022... But you atleast got a bigger boat, and food looks good actually.. Good to see others can enjoy this trip, cause we coulndt.. Still hope less people take these boats, to save the invirement.
@@StephandPete yes, the Foods looked much better in your video. Gress There is different quality on these cruises. Great that you had a good experience!
just wondering if you remember how long the bright and dark cave excursion took if you take the local boats? i get dizzy easily so if it takes longer than kayaking ourselves, might just do kayaking.
Got a like from me right off the bat - you traveled with your elderly parents! Planning to do the same next year! Was it difficult for them to climb into and out of transfer boats/tender boats/rowboats? Mine have bad knees...
We travel with them loads! They're both, luckily, fit and healthy so no knee issues, though my mom just had both hips replaced in the last two years. Have fun!!
Wish bloggers where more honest though. Everything on this trip is kind of overated, i know the view is amazing, but i know there are more than a little plastic at one back that makes this trip bad.. Wish they showed all the nasty seafood etc, and not just the good things from this trip. Warning : Stay away from Pegasus Cruise atleast !!!
I will continue watching your videos. Used to watch the big bloggers, like Kara and Nate, bit if you follow them, everything looks great and taste good. Not the reality i experienced. Your more honest! Loved Hoi An though! Wish we stayed there longer. 😀
