Who needs a lactation consultant when they have you? 😊 What a fantastic job you did explaining this as well as your manual pump video. Wow. I don’t think I even have to watch twice. I’m a teacher and I feel like I could learn from you on how to be clear and thorough.
Thank you so much for your comment & for watching! It is greatly appreciated! I am so glad you have found my channel too! I have new videos coming in the next few days!
@@soniaravichandranc.s.r.1075 Yes, you can use a hand pump or single electric breast pump on one breast & place the haakaa on the other breast. Or you can breastfeed on one breast & place the haakaa on the other breast. I hope this helped :)
Thanks for the video! May I know, why do you choose to pump with a manual pump and a Haakaa instead of, say, using two Haakaas? Do you switch sides after you are done with the manual pumping?
Hi, thanks for your videos. I had my baby 6 weeks ago and we have been struggling with breastfeeding. He doesn't like it hence he has been feeding on milk formula. Is it too late to start exclusively pumping? My supply is not much
You are very welcome! I am not a lactation consultant, however if you start to pump and notice nothing is coming out after a few days of trying, I would contact a Lactation consultant to get further advice. Good luck! I hope you will be able to pump!
Hi it's never to late to breastfeed Hun... And oatmeal works for me as well as lactation cookies/teas and pills and sometimes it don't work but your main thing u need to take is iron pills that's your booster
Mam can u please say which is good haakaa or Philips avent manual.. Or i should buy both as u showed to use both sides at the time of pumping one side..
They are both amazing in my personal opinion. However they do different things. The Haakaa just creates a suction and helps catch the milk while you either breastfeed or breast pump on the opposite breast. The Avent hand pump actually pumps the milk out. I hope that makes sense. I have a video on the Philips Avent Hand Pump & at the end I explain how I combine my haakaa and Avent to pump. Thank you for watching & commenting :) Please reach out if you have any further questions
Hi my baby is 4 week now this is my first baby .. my milk level is low .. you said you are doing exclusively breast pump.. my question are you giving your baby only pumped milk or in btween giving directly... I got mixed opinion if we do direct pumping alone milk level will decrease ... Is that true...
Hi Darshana, thank you for commenting. I use to combine breastfeeding and pumping but then I began exclusively just pumping. According to The Healthy children's Project, newborn babies should be drinking about 8-12 times in a day (10-12 times is best for newborns), so if you are just exclusively pumping, you will have to pump about 8-12 times in a day to be able to have enough milk for your baby. Since milk supply is based on supply and demand, if you do not pump or breastfeed your baby 8-12 times in a day, your milk supply CAN decrease. If you are pumping, hand expressing, or breastfeeding this many times in a day & your milk supply is still low, I would recommend seeking counseling from a lactation consultant/ counselor. I hope this helps ! :) I wish you the best the luck on your breastfeeding journey & I hope you will subscribe for more future content on breastfeeding!
