Football was always meant to be a physical game. Haaland feels old school but with modern standards of skill and tactics. I've missed players like him, who'd rather keep on his feet and keep the play going than "tactically fall over and cry" to get a free kick. As a LFC fan, it hurts me to admit, but I think Haaland is my favorite player these days. As close to a perfect attacking player as I've seen. Especially for his age.
Sort of hard not to when he has 1:1+1 after 200 matches. For reference, Messi had 0.7:1 after 200 matches. There hasn't been a goal ratio this good since the 1930s and amateur football.
You should watch City games before even the last two seasons without a striker dominate the league and winning so brilliantly it was something unreal with 4 Premier of the last 5 against an almost unbeatable Liverpool. An absolute joy of team to watch like Liverpool and Arsenal lately in Premier
@@jorgefernandez8728 Yeah i have watched my share of Citygames, but Haaland is a superstar type of player City haven't had for a while. I'm not talking about technique, skillmoves etc, City have several of those type of players, he's just entertaining to watch. And i like that maybe City play a little bit different because of him, watching Citygames when they have 85% possesion are impressive, but not so fun unless your a Cityfan
what is most impressive that he showed his strength against strongest players in world, koulibaly, ruben dias (ironic), neuer , upamecano etc seeing player not dive is so pleasing and rare today, reminds me of old old 60s 70s 80s football footages. most of players would have dived in 95% of tackles showed in this video, but not haaland, he is fucking warrior tank, love it
It’s like Zlatlan had a son with the Brazilian Ronaldo. Mean, tough, fast, loves beat up defenders, technical, and can score like crazy. The only difference is he is smarter, wiser, and more humble. Going to follow city games.
Haaland is a proficient goalscorer, but he is not as technical as the Brazilian Ronaldo. Ronaldo had elite close control and dribbling ability. Haaland is good in both categories, but not in the elite bracket.
I have so much more respect for players that always try to fight through the contact instead of trying to fish for a whistle from the referee. Love watching Erling play
thats the most awesome thing about him...that part of the game is almost lost on other players. getting a little push will make you give up and see what the referee does.
Same he actually plays like a Brazilian even though he's Norwegian 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he has a South American flair to how he plays football I'm here for it
One thing I like about Haaland , he never dive eventhought in hard situation. .. Dude got that old school football players. .. Play for pride not for money
The cyborg playing with the greatest midfielder of nowadays Kevin de Bruyne. Plus Bernardo, Foden or Gundogan a perfect team to bring him goals of every single colour for him.
Holy moly, that’s a beast. How anyone his size can be that fast and technical is just a marvel. I mean, he is 6,4 feet for crying out load, that’s a speeding truck coming at ya.
@@cmrdecc6516 no 6'5 NBA player can sprint at such high speed as him, some may got better agility but nobody come close to him in Sprinting speed for sure
He anticipates perfectly the force that is about to hit him and simply absorbs it in order to stay on his feet. Certain other players don't have this ability and so they are flung sideways and pretend to scream in pain in order to compensate.
Cough GayMar But Yah Haaland Is Smart And That's What I Like About Him... How He Doesn't Flop and Put on a Show as If Someone SHOT Him in the Ass or Sumthing Cough Like Gaymar Does
Haaland is something we needed in modern football. Finally a Striker that wont do tricks 24/7 like hes coming straight from circus. Absolute Unit on the Field and gives 110% every match. Mark my words, he will win some ballon d'ors as soon as Messi and Cr7 retire
If Haaland slightly improves his weak foot and becomes a little more technical in his first 2 touches over the next 2/3 years learning from the City squad I think he will be talked about like Ronaldo and Messi atleast numbers wise.
From watching a doco about his younger years apparently they were all over him but he chose to come up steady thru the ranks instead of jumping straight to a top team. Why he chose to do that I don't know but by the looks of things it was not a bad choice!! He's one of the first players in a while to just make me go "holy shit!!" he's a force of nature.
@@madam94 I think it makes sense. You get more actual training and time to develop rather than immediate hype that you struggle to live up to while sitting on a bench. Bellingham made the same decision. All the top premier league teams wanted him when he was 16 (and their academies when he was younger) but he said no. Partially to stay at Birmingham out of loyalty, but after that to go to where his skills would actually be best developed (Dortmund).
Love this guy, got the good old physical nature, gets stuck in and when he gets it back he doesnt roll around like a wimp, just shrugs it off and carries on. Hope he changes the football world and shows having guts is more admirable and works better than being a fairy, football may become a man’s sport again 🤞🤞
I saw him in premier league and immediately thought how unfair was it that he was playing in Bundesliga. Premier league is known for tough hard defenders but haaland is just making them all look puppy
Haaland is my favourite player atm, always liked him for his personality at dortmund but never properly watched him play. Watching him at city is great hes such a good player
Weird too because he's so tall!!!!! You wouldn't expect a dude that high to be that fast but then again Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world and is 6'5 so anything is possible
don’t mind the redundants, they even said messi can’t play in the premier league, yet lesser players are wrecking it over there.... people can just be unbelievably clueless... if you are great you are great no matter where you go..
I'm more of a Mbappe fan but definitely impressed with Halaand I'd say he's one to watch especially considering how young he is he has time on his side to prove himself
Further must watch moments: The disallowed goal vs Sevilla in CL. When he bodied Ramos when he played for Salzburg vs Real and how he bodies and scored vs VVD in the Nations League.
Genial, algo diferente, por fin un jugador resistente que no se tira a llorar con el primer empujoncito, el mundo disfrutará de un delantero fuera de serie
THIS is how i want to play football(in my dreams) i was ever waiting for a person like this to appear in a major league. Its quite common in ordinary people playing
Better than Zlatan, Zlatan has better technique for sure, but everything else Haaland it's better, he's a team player when Zlatan makes everything about him, has a better score ability, his personalitu it's way more grounded and it's not prone to bs drama or playing to be a thug, it's not an asshole to his teammates, etc
Last game against forest when he losing ball and running to get the ball back was scary 😂 If someone as big and strong as him running after me ffs, I will just give him the ball
I am addicted to Haaland. I have withdrawals already for not seeing him score in 3 days. He reminds me of Pele. He is no Ronaldo or Messi. Both are too technical. Pele was a little like Haaland. He was robust and kept running trough the field, dodging pure MMA tackles and left everyone bleeding or with broken bones left in his path. Many argue that pele was the greatest player in history. He wasnt nearly as technical as Messi but he was fierce and got determination like no other. Haaland is different of course. He is even stronger built and maybe less technical but that size and speed will put him right up there in discussions with the all time greatest. He will win ballon dor soon for sure. The Ronaldo and Messi era is over.
Never seen a 19 year old bully grown man defenders like Haaland did… Now he is 22 and destroying the English league which is known as the toughest league strength and intensity wise Different breed this guy
He's an absolute monster of a player... I wonder how he'll get on as youthful energy evades him... He's all speed and strength ATM.. can certainly score, but think that is hand in hand with his speed size and strength getting him in position.. hopefully he'll keep getting better and we can all wince as he lines up against our teams... Suspect he may go a bit Owen and lose his impact as he gets older.. hopefully not.
Hope he finds a strong woman that is able to give birth to his son one day. After his first breath it's time for him to sign a 21 year contract with Dortmund.
He remind me of prime messi, where his body strength is incomparable, stability is insane, great goal scoring ability . Just How on earth you get that stability with that height? I would bet on him to Win multiple ballon dor over mbappe if he can keep out of injury. Pep might hit the jackpot again after messi.
That's actually a very good point. Messi was like that in his prime. Just couldn't get him off balance and even if he was on the ground he'd be up in a millisecond
Yep, people usually thinks that a Big player has better stability when it's the opposite, thats why Haaland it's special, cause he defies that norm , it helps that he seems like a dedicated athlete, so i think he has work out on those aspects and seems like improving every day
