I don't teach my dogs to pull the lead they just do. So don't think for them it's a real difference. The only thing that's different is when mantrailing they know they'll find a person. I offer them the scent of the person they need to find and the dogs know what I want from them at the moment they get to smell it. Then they just know it's time to work. When we go out in the forest for a hike they wear a different harness and we just go and walk. So the most important is the context and the routines you use during the activities.
