Again Tony, great show with the snake. This guy is so interesting to listen to. He knows his stuff and is not afraid to express his views. He also expresses himself very well and is succinct.
Sick pod Tony! As a devils fan, hearing Snake’s assessment on Luke just reaffirms everything I’ve seen and heard about him. Watching him and jack grow and chase the cup together is going to be so special.
On Bedard and Dvorsky, people keep forgeting that this WJC was specific. They are 2005 who played against 2002. Both are barely 17, but played against guys like Habs prospect Petteri Nurmi (born Jan 2002). Their standard "draft year WJC" will be in December.
Kinda makes me feel the Habs need super high end prospects like a Luke Hughes. It would be something if Joshua Roy could improve his skating the way Brayden Point did. Anything is possible!
I thought Roy looked ok he is sneaky and picks the pockets of players that try to hog the puck.As for Berdard i feel he is a splitting image of Pavel Bure and that is the type of player you are getting.I did not see Cooley as being that good in the tourny but of course he is young and can improve..
Snake Boisvert has “unpopular” opinions, so social media is very harsh to anything different. Mathias Brunet was highly criticized for saying that he’d draft Slafkovsky over Wright. Looks like he was right, but it was “unpopular” and he got insulted quite a few times…
@@Eric-zq6sb It's just too bad. I love original and unique perspectives and real personalities. And Simon is all about that. I purchased the Recrutes guide because it had his list a couple years ago, but he wasn't in it last year. Now this is the only place for me to get my dose of Simon. I also don't read French, which makes it difficult for me to follow Mathias's work.
I think people are being pretty stupid about Bedard, he’s playing against players that are three years older than him when he turned 17 just over a month ago. Yes McDavid had three more points (1 less goal) in the world juniors at the same age but in my opinion he was playing with a much more skilled roster. He was playing with Reinhart, Point, Morrissey, Theodore, Nurse, Gauthier, Lavar, Domi, Duclair etc I don’t think half of you watched his games, he showed an immense amount of talent with the way he was playing. He was cutting around people and through people like nobody’s tomorrow, he showed physicality which no one expected and his passes were crisp. I see no way he drops unless he has some crash and burn season where he gets like half a ppg.
yeah i have to agree, we're speculating on players that haven't even dressed for an nhl game yet. i'll bet that marty st. louis got a lot of flack from guys just like this guy coming up and proved them wrong. he wasn't even drafted and look at what he accomplished. till they play nobody knows.
I would take the Russian cus the habs won’t be contending in the next 2-3 years and big contracts will expire so a more mature player with extra cap space and an ELC would be smart
Tony: What do u think about Wayne Gretzky?? The Snake: Well, he has an ok upside, he can stick handle a little, but im worried about his scoring, he isn't going to be able to score many goals at the NHL level, I see him as a 4th line center... Jesus, he says one decent thing about everyone he's asked about, then it's all negative, every time!! lol.
I dont understand how the « generational » player tag can be so easily thrown around. Wright was supposed to be one, he isnt anymore. Bedard was supposed to be the next big thing after Mcdavid, now we re not so sure anymore. Scouts need to stop baiting us every year. PS why so many haters for the snake. He has his opinions and good for him. There are way to many « yes man » in hockey management imo.
I wouldn't say only scouts but media too. Sports channels try to attract attention so they will always try to stir the pot. And fans too. We tend to get over excited sometimes...

@@bgood4449 Ed Belfour, Sergei Bobrovsky, Dan Boyle, Dino Ciccarelli, Geoff Courtnall, Steve Duchesne, Mark Giordano, Curtis Joseph, Tim Kerr, Joe Mullen, Adam Oates, Brian Rafalski, Borje Salming, Steve Thomas, Niklas Backstrom, Tyler Bozak, Mike Keane, Chris Kunitz, Artemi Panarin, Dave Poulin, were all undrafted as well.
@@sherlockhoax9338 - Quite a few players although that is going back upwards of 50 years and they aren't all in the hall of fame. Some may still get there that are playing today. If the backstrom is from the Caps then he was drafted 4th overall.
You want him to heap praise on everyone? Try hockey pro reference and you will see the vast majority of players drafted never play a meaningful number of games in the NHL. You could also look at Montreal's 1st round picks since 1980 and see how many panned out, especially the guys from the 1990s.
