Taking high school CS courses isn't a prerequisite. I know a few people who haven't programmed before coming to uWaterloo and they are doing just fine! However, I would recommend learning the basics of a language in your free time
Hi there!! I’m computer science student and I’m from India. I need an suggestions from you guys on which language should I choose from following....... 1-python 2- C# 3-.NET 4- Java. Pls reply🥺🥺🥺
Hi, I like this video. Recently, I was considering which CS program I should choose between UofT and Waterloo. Honestly, I do not have much coding experiences, I only learn CS courses in my high school and I try to learn some basic python skills independently. Can I learn CS well in university if I only have some basic programming skill?
hey! Glad you enjoyed the video. I was in the same position as you, I only took high school CS courses and tbh I didn't have much trouble transitioning to University cs courses. keep in mind the first-year cs courses are usually introductory courses and many of my classmates never coded before, so I think you will definitely be fine if you have a passion and interest in programming
