Nice! This is awesome! I had a couple motherboards that wouldn’t show the usb controller in hackintool so I ended up using Usbtoolbox or corpbewt’s usbmap.
I tried those my usb ports on my laptop still don’t work and I’m not sure what I’m doing I did follow the oc dortania guide but I’m still lost, their guide is like a dang maze to me tbh
this was super helpfull, all my usb ports are now working perfect the only issue i have is that after maybe 2 or 3 hours of uptime if I send a reboot the machine get sutck in the bios logo and need to power off manually and power back on apart from that everything is working flawlessly
Ive been watching your videos to prep for my first hackintosh! as per ususal im going with something complicated: NZXT Z590 Motherboard (Rebranded Asrock Z590 Taichi) 10900k i9 CPU Sapphire RX6900XT Toxic Extreme GPU 64 GB (4x16) 3600 Ram SN 850 NVME I'll be making a build video as well as trying to make a step guide with what i did to get everything running. You'll be hearing from me if/when things go horribly, horribly wrong lol Thanks for keeping Hackintosh fresh!
hi is there an instruction video somewhere that will show me how to map my usb ports in big sur by downgrading back to catalina, and then back to big sur? i am having no luck doing it this way.
Does this work the same if I'm using clover config? I'm not using open core. I'm running catalina, usb ports seem to be working except for one at the back, but are slow connecting when I insert a usb stick.
Thanks again for offering the info. My question is if I want do this on my elitedesk 800 G3 i7 should I follow your old videos? Or have things changed and these newer OS versions need the new way to load them?
Hello, I have a problem if I plug a usb accessory into my Mac pro 5.1 after booting, this one is not detected, I have to restart the Mac and then it appears. Could you help me, I don't know where it comes from, I am using opencore legacy patcher 0.5.3 thank you.
hi i cant get any of my usb 2 ports to register. not sure what i have done. they work on boot but not with hackintool. would you be able to help please
The internal power supply of my sons monitor stopped working . Can not find a replacement in stock. I do not see any busted or leaky capacitors. Should I just change out the capacitors? What should I test for first?
Also I have a laptop the internal Nvidia graphics stop working but the IGPU in the Intel I7 works. thus I can get video output through the VGA adapter but the internal LCD screen stays black is that something you could fix? I had it locally tested here they said the GPU is fine, it might be a switching chip which they could not test or find a replacement for. Is this something you think you could fix?
Hello, I followed this and it worked great. My issue is that my Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro also has a USB C port. How to do I get it working? I kept that port (SS06) as part of the 15 ports and it does now provide power to my iphone, but it does not exchange data. It seems as if the hackintosh only sees that port as a power port not as a data port. Any suggestions? Thanks so much for your videos! Between this one and your one on installing Ventura with OpenCore I've finally upgraded my hackintosh from Mojave with clover and it's works SO MUCH BETTER!!! Thanks again!
@@TechNolli There were a few modified bios F9x firmware revisions that were introduced on Github. To get Ventura to work properly I used the F9i version. Also in your previous Z390 bios changes you had both WIN 8/10 and WIN 8/10 WHOL in bios listed. As you mentioned, Monterey and especially Ventura have changes to Open Core and the bios that makes an upgrade difficult. I realize that no two motherboards are the same, but the Hackintosh community maybe needs a chart of these changes for upgrades. After spending close $5000 recently for a new Apple laptop for my wife, I'm sticking with Hackintosh for a while longer. Apple silicon is the way of the future. However, I love my Hackintosh for the shear amount of upgrades I can make and the internal storage device bays. The PC world is just refusing to go with the ARM based processors. Linus Totvalds of LINUX fame updated LINUX on a ARM based Macintosh recently because there is a lack of hardware based ARM PCs available. I'm expecting someone to eventually figure out an emulation of MacOS for Apple Silicon on an ARM based PC that uses LINUX as its OS. Stay tuned.
hey mate are you able to tell me how to get my USB-C port speed working correctly? The USB-C ports on the front panel and the back panel both work but I am only getting 480Mbps speed out of them. Not sure how to change those speeds in Hackintool. Any help much appreciated.
