These interviews are brain dead, & the show clearly didn't do any research. Dude just asks, so you're aussie, Mel is aussie, this you got the part?! Ffs
I'm one of those people who likes to be amazed. There are many things to amaze us including some of the true stories that have been told via moving pictures. Unless I'm mistaken, this story is one of the most amazing. Sometimes movie makers use what is called, "poetic licence", to change some details of the story because it is too difficult to tell it as it really was. I had read the book, The Unlikeliest Hero, years before Hacksaw Ridge came out and, while there were details in the book that I wish could have been included in the movie, Hacksaw Ridge is a truly superb retelling of the story. Shortly after the movie came out, my wife did some research about the book and copies were selling online for many times as much as they cost new. If ever a story deserved retelling, this is one that does.
