Both of these songs are both called "I'll Face Myself" but I consider the second version feels more like a reprise based on the melancholy yet bittersweet tone. In the context of Persona 4, there is a pattern in game where the characters confront a shadow version of themselves that represents a version they repress and hate and trying to come to terms to with that part of themselves. I think one of things that interested me with Persona as a franchise is how the games all have different themes and characters in the narrative and to be fair, the music and Joker's debut in Smash Bros is also how got into the series. Although I posted this before I got up to Season 5 of LMK, I just thought it suited MK's arc as a character when facing his inner demons especially in an episode in Season 5.
@@Multifan7152 Ohhhh okay, thank youu! Also omggg the parallels xD It really does fit! Dang, I might have to check this out actually cause I love games that lean into character narratives vksviddh
@@critter_core No problem, there is a lot of recommendations but to me, since the games have their own separate stories and elements to them, while they all have common RPG themes to them, there pretty unique in their own ways. However, fair warning, the games don't shy away from serious and dark topics sometimes along with some moments made me a little uncomfy, The writing in these games have their strengths and weaknesses which can sometimes be a little jarring in some areas but when they handle it right, it's handled really gives an impact. Aside from the battle system and dungeon crawling aspects, I think one of my favourite aspects of the games in general is the social links, which not only help improve your stats but you also get to learn more about the characters you interact with outside the main plot points and form bonds with them that also create stronger connections.
@@Multifan7152 Yeah, I get that. Kinda makes me think of Stardew Valley with Shane, if you know about it. A lot of my experiences with gaming, admittedly is cozy games, and I remember so many people getting surprised by a sudden darker character arc jsvvj And yeah, social links? Sounds really cool! Idk if I've heard of a game increasing your stats for interacting with characters before, but that's a great motivation to learn the other characters' stories and personality, I bet!
