Different Engine Contol Modules report different sensors, not all cars have all the sensors, also some makes require very expensive scantools that are only available to dealers, those X marks mean no sensor, the triangle symbol means not ready. You should try reading the directions, it was right there by your thumb. The Scan Gauge does clear codes and reports ready or not, it also has a lot more functions, read the booklet that came with it. I use both the ScanGauge and the cheap ELM with Torque, at the same time, no problems, there are OBD II spliters and extensions online.

my father has a VXDAS nexzscan ,it works so well and cheaper than obdlink ,I’d like to see a comparison of VXDAS Nexzscan and obdlink, along side dealer-level or shop diagnostic tools for fairness.
