If I have a chance to, I would want this to be played at my mum's memorial service ... Due to the lockdown imposed by the CoVid-19, her funeral was just 10 people, including my dad. As a person by facinated, yet horrified, by the Holocaust, 'Auschwitz and The Final Solution' was one of the very t.v. series she asked me to buy for her on DVD ... she died not knowing this was by Händel ... Margaret Rose ('Rosie') Fairhurst: 3rd September 1938 - 2nd March 2020 @weirdgirl07 I am genuinely sorry for your loss, too. May your beloved mother Rest in Peace ...
Impactful moment that his child died and a new scene started with carrying his tomb with the same cart that carried him at his birthday. The most touching scene I have ever witnessed.
@@kkanjiro another impactful scene (or shot) was when we see the devastated Barry sitting down on a low chair with his legs sprawled, passed out. A symbol of grief.
It was in the reign of George III that the aforesaid personages lived and quarrelled; good or bad, handsome or ugly, rich or poor, they are all equal now.
For there the beauty of the human expression deployed throuh melody. When words are not enough. or insufficient and explanation lack fluidity.Music take u on a path where boundaries of comprehension are crushed and only remain the joy of appreciation. Hail to thee O Lord God
I have anxiety and every nights when i go yo bed, my chest feels so heavy that i can barely breathe. I don't know how but this music helps me to feel as light as a cloud. Magic is real.
It's been a long time, that I imagined my future life inspired by this piece. When I listened in that time it made me see the future. It got me in a great inspiration that I could imagined every detail. Magnificent and powerful masterpiece.
I love this composition so much, it will outlive all of us, maybe even humanity. Our life is just a miserable moment. Before something great and worthy that has always been and always will be.
Music with no words, and can reach to the bottom of your heart. What a genius this people who create this classic music! It is going to stay unique in the history! For me they only reflect high ,and beautiful energy in that time . There music speak softness that touch our hearts ,touch our feelings, our thoughts. Softness in hearts that reflect goodness, and kindness in human beings
Handel was born in 1685 in Halle, Duchy of Magdeburg (then part of Brandenburg-Prussia), to Georg Händel and Dorothea Taust.[8] His father, aged sixty-three when George Frideric was born, was an eminent barber-surgeon who served the court of Saxe-Weissenfels and the Margraviate of Brandenburg.[9]
@@shanephelps3898 This was actually originally composed for harpsichord. It was re-arranged in the 20th century for orchestra. Handel never arranged it.
Just take this work from Haendel for what it is....a masterpeice. Forget about the movie and all our distractions of our days.. Yes it is tragic in it's all sounds, that is the main reason probably whyit was choosen for that masterpeice of that Movie by Kubrick. The question is?????? was realy England at war when he composed that peice of music???? or was it pure genius!!!! Still when I listen to this work...it is very hard for me to listen to something else afterward. I will listen to it only when I feel sad or sorrows feel my mood.......but still what a masterpeice of work.
Who knows? But "pure genius" existed, no doubt. In my opinion, Stanley Kubrick was an extraordinary person by choosing this masterpiece for his movie. Regards. Amelia fom Argentina.
Thanks for your answer..but did he himself???My guess would be that he knew this masterpeice and he made the suggestion to have it as the main peice of music for is movie.
Could be, he knew such a masterpiece formerly, but I don't care if so. Once more, in connection with my feelings, both circumstances met wonderfully: Haendel's sarabande and Kubrick. Enough for me... Regards!
Koszonet erte Handel es termeszetesen a feltoltonek is! Beautiful!
im a 10000000% hip hop rap artist and rock lover but this thiss is the shit off all no matter what that emotions without lyrics is just unbelievable im in LOVE and im 23
“It was in the reign of George II that the above-named personages lived and quarreled; good or bad, handsome or ugly, rich or poor, they are all equal now.”
W. Thackeray - "The memoirs of Barry Lyndon, Esqu."
I'm not musical enough to admire Haendel and that is why I would rather expect such dramatic Sarabande to have been written down by Bach, dictated to him from above rather. But it is Haendel. I heard as a child at school that Haendel was as great as Bach but unlike Bach, Haendel "had no wings". Well, may be this peace has no wings too, because it sounds like heavy steps of destiny.
Magnificent piece, just edges out Vivaldi's concerti for 2 trumpets as my absolute favourite piece. The Baroque sarabande was a slow, courtly dance, but the original sarabande was a lively Renaissance dance that was banned by the Pope c1530s as it was judged to be obscene!
