This cute little guy's name is Blitz and he is a 21 day old Haflinger foal! Here he is being shown during the Parade of Breeds during the 2010 PA Horse World Expo!
I am willing to bet that this is not this mare's first foal. Or her first boy. Fillies stick a little closer to Mom but boys are boys are boys....... She is a calm Mom but let Junior get out of sight or let someone or something come into that ring that Mom isn't comfortable with and that little mare will show you a side you never guessed she had.
Desiree2401 this is literally a completely calm mare doing her normal completely natural gait behind walked by a professional who is not bothering her in the slightest. How is this any form of slavery?
Why does this look like the beginning of a *Disney movie?* -See that little guy right there? Yes, That's me My mom was doing her best at her work, and me? Ehhh i was trying And that's when it all started-
I was a bit worried at first that the foal was actually frightened. But he has his ears cocked most of the time and does indeed seem to be simply full of energy.
Princess Kenny I agree. I went to a rodeo. They drugged the horses to be placid. I cried so much. They stood there listlessly with their lower lip hanging down. Rocking back and forth on their heels. 😭
After all the years I've been working with horses and raising my children, I've discovered how ridiculously close toddlers and foals are in terms of behaviour. This little cutie is another example.😂😂
It's a trait of the breed. Haflingers originated in the mountains of Austria as a crossbreed between mountain draft horses ("Norikers") and Arabian horses. But it's not a 50:50 mixture. There's much less Arabian blood in them than draft horse blood, so they have the calmness and good-natured characters of their farm horse ancestors. Check out Norikers, if you haven't yet. They can have different colours, but the most surprising one is "tiger" (aka spotted like an Appaloosa, which looks awesome and weird at the same time on such a heavy horse).
Awww, watching this just made my day. A beautiful Mare, and and a darling foal, just running around, being as cute as can be. When they are babies, they love to run around the arenas. Clydesdale foals do that too. 2021 Reno Rodeo, NV. Momma part of hitch team her foal, stole the show, zooming, running around the arena. Just stole the show, and everyone's hearts. Just so wonderful to watch. 🐴🐎❤❤
He knows how to wow a crowd. I bet he's stunning now, but I doubt he kept too much of that playfulness as every adult I've met of the breed is super relaxed. That little rear though--wish we'd been able to see it without mom blocking it, that was insanely adorable!!
That's what I thought, looks like one of my cats right after she poops. She flies outta the litter pan and runs around my apartment having a herself a good ol' time.
Has anyone ever noticed that foals legs r so dang long until they get full grown. This baby has lots of energy & Mother is so calm with her baby just running & having fun.
*RU-vid algorithm:* Hey, hey! How many horse videos do you watch in a year?! *Me:* Uh... none, really. Maybe a random one I come across, every once in a blue moon? *RU-vid algorithm:* Do you wanna watch a foal have fun at the PA Horse World Expo, 10 years ago?! *Me:* ...Oh! Okay!
Ist sowas nicht einfach herrlich. Lebensfreude pur. Die Blondis sind tolle Pferde. Robust und schön. In den Bergen sind sie nicht wegzudenken. Auch als Reitpferd tolle Tiere.
Em A Viking I don't understand how ANYONE can not like this. OK if you don't like horses but why watch it in the first place?? Still, they don't know perfection when they see it! At least we can see it lol
@@kalayne6713 You do well ! Many of us here in Europe are hoping Trump does not win the election. I dare not imagine him four more years in power with the poorly managed Covid, over-the-counter weapons, racism ... May the United States regain its dignity! Be careful, protect yourself :-)
This is what it's like being a mom. You can spend hours on your look, style your "mane" to a brilliant luster, get your nails done, everything.......and nobody even notices because the cute kid steals the show, LOL!! EDIT: Yes kids are wonderful, it's actually great being a mom, yet apparently it's not okay to joke about parenting E-VER. Okay, so how about an upside? -When the kid steals the show, then you can just let yourself go and not brush your hair, have dirty nails, dirty everything, get fat, etc. because nobody will notice, awesome! EDIT #2: After over 2 years, 403 people have gotten the joke but only the people with autism have commented (except Crystal). THERE, NOW you have something to be mad about!
Haflinger ponies are an exception: There are too many foals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and not enough "normal" buyers/riders. Many of them decide against this breed. For many decades a lot of Haflinger foals go to the slaughter-house.
My word if that isn’t the cutest thing I’ve seen all day, I don’t know what is Edit: also, look how the mare reacts. The guy trained her well. She’s watching, but she’s not balking at the lead rope or anything like that.
Foal is thinking there is mom walking and trotting so it must be okay for me to kick up my heels. Notice he constantly checks back to see mom and runs around her constantly.
That is probably one of the top 3 cutest little colts that I've ever seen,it's a blonde with endless energy & I absolutely love it when they get so excited that they jump around like an idiotic over amped up kid on a super espresso. It's priceless & will always put a huge smile on my face.
Ah, i try to avoid commenting on old comments but it's already been done and well I was looking for this comment and I gotta say that i agree! It's the cutest part!
Awwww, so adorably cute! ❤️❤️ And hilarious! I think that cute fur baby is just showing off because he wants everybody to look at him too. Lol!!! 😂 ❤️❤️❤️👍👍
