Hafnarfjörður is the westernmost municipality of Capital area, so called Larger Reykjavík, in ICELAND. It is the closest to Mount Keilir and Fagradalsfjall. Hence, the earthquakes are felt here the most. Unlike Reykjavík proper, Hafnarfjörður was built on real post glacial lavafields! Its parks are full of lava rocks and volcanic pressure ridges as at 07:30. Some psychics claim those lava rocks are home to elves.
Hafnarfjörður is home to Viking Village and yearly Viking festivals that place there. Hence sometimes its called the city of the Vikings.
Hafnarfjörður is also second biggest port of Iceland, after Reykjavík proper. Historically, the city developed around the harbour and fishing independently from Reykjavik (though now it basically merged with Reykjavík from the south west). It has got its own distinct old downtown.
Krýsuvík (Fagradalsfjall and Keilir are part of the Krýsuvík Volcanic System) belong to Hafnarfjörður municipality. At 01:07 and 05:20 you can see Keilir Cone and Fagradalsfjall in the background where we are currently having hundreds of earthquakes.
-------- Info from my head:)-------
Drone: DJI Air 2S with filter as it was too much sunshine. 4K Ultra HD. Filmed by me on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

Hafnarfjordur is one of the prettiest towns in Iceland. I always enjoyed traveling there. ❤️ Of course it has grown a lot since I was there.

Benefits to build on the basaltic rock: no humidity, no mouses and the house is strongest against earthquake. Good night

@GutnTog it must be very difficult building at the beginning of these city's the excavation for the utility services and foundations of the house's must present certain difficulties with the ground being so hard.

The ground isn´t hard. It is relatively "fresh" lava and therefore it is very porous. Other places in Iceland have harder underground than Hafnarfjördur - but in general, Iceland does not have totally solid rock. Geologically the country is very young.

Very picturesque place. 😍 In all your drone videos of Reykjavik and other towns I admire how the trees are not only integrated into the cityscape - it looks like they are embraced by the city! (I guess no Icelander would come up with the idea to cut off a tree's top just because it is 30 cm "too high".)

Question?? How high and how far and how long (timewise) can your drone go? And of course, I always enjoy the footage. GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS NORMAN!!!!

So interesting seeing the different areas built up/man made, structured & organized, and then different more relaxed hodgepodge. I didn’t see any power lines? Street lights all over. I’m guessing that they ran the power lines/grids as they laid the streets? I loved the different regions that are parks for all the different volcanic extrusions. Nice to see it incorporated into Icelandic life. (And leaving room for Elves & Trolls ;) )

My birth place and home town for my first nine years. Very beautiful place. Nice to see the children playing in Hellisgerdi, I used to run around there many years ago like those kids do now. People who visit should look for the "old town", it is very cosy. Thanks for the beautiful footage.

Maybe this volcano is dead. But this is not the end…with new Earth quake swarm deep underground to the NE a new lava explosion could soon be unleashed for an exciting Winter campaign of fire and ice in the polar night. Filming can continue in the sub zero conditions thanks to the warming effect of molten lava lakes.

Do they have problems with high waves overrunning the roads around the harbour area or what looks like apartments? We have areas around Victoria where the waves get high and shove trees and rocks over the roads

It's less of a problem in Hafnarfjörður than it is in parts of Reykjavík
