Band BIO:
Hagane is a five-piece all girl power metal band from Tokyo, Japan that was formed in June 23rd, 2018. Their current line up consist of. Uyu on vocals, Sakura on guitar, Mayto on guitar Sayaka on bass, and Kanako on the drums. Hagane was formed after Sakura looked for others to form a band on June 23, 2018. Initially, the band started as a foursome (Sakura, Mayto, Kanako, and Chiemi on vocals) until bassist Sakaya was found. After Chiemi left in Mach 2019, the band was on hold for a while until it restarted with new vocalist Uyu in November 2019.
FUN FACTS about band:
- The band name (鋼, steel) refers to the quality of becoming stronger and harder when hit by a sword, just like the band seeks to become better over time and grow to become the best Hagane band possible
- The music video for “Wintry Sky” took place in February, when it was very cold, but cup noodles kept everybody warm
- Band members enjoy playing music, games, anime, cartoons, TV, movies, social networks, and friends. They enjoy interacting with fans online and appreciate the support of the fans very much.

@@dicodec She is going to be as big as Saki, Midori and Miyako one day. I don't think this is as good as their debut, "WintrySky", but they have a promising future if they find their own identity rather than trying to be the new Lovebites (Lovebites are fairly new on the scene themselves). I wouldn't want them to be copyists.

My first few times hearing them, I also picked up a Lovebites influence (the visual also gives that away) which just speaks to what a huge presence Lovebites have achieved so fast. But Hagane have more of a swing to their songs, less metal. SoulBeats is an amazing song and I think it shows they can write. Rooting for them to bust out!

Thank you for the reaction video. HAGANE, a five-member harmonic metal band, just made its debut in June last year. HAGANE means metal in Japanese. Sakura Yoshida, a guitar player, was playing Pain Killer when she was 15 years old. Their age haven't been disclosed, but seem teenagers.

Hey I found this band back in the summer, they're pretty great and just getting started it seems like! They're pretty kick ass, I remember seeing their outfits in the thumbnail and being VERY surprised by their sound when I listened to them.

oooh...I really like them...her tone is beautiful..maybe it is just because she sings very fast in some parts, but it somehow sounds like what she is singing is very important..or maybe that's just me...I'm definitely gonna check out more of them! I agree though, the drums could have been a bit heavier..

I feel like Uyu can hit another octave with her voice, she seems like she holds back a bit on the high notes, but she could really belt it out and probably hold it for a long time. Sakura is so damn good on guitar. Fun fact Uyu is the lead vocals in a Babymetal cover band called Dizzymetal.

Another really good band from Japan!! I love everything about them. My only critique is that their overall sound feels too light for my liking. If only they sound a bit heavier, that would be perfect. I really love the change of tempo on the solo section of the song.

They're a relatively new band. Sakura(white flying V) is a Judas Priest fan. She has alot of covers of Priest songs in her channel. She also covers Impelliteri. I would suggest you react to her cover of "17th Century Chicken Picking". 👍

Yo! I just went to a small gig in Tokyo last night for a Japanese band that was fuckin' awesome! They're called Bahboons. Seriously you should check them out. They don't have any MV's but they've got their album on Spotify! Just wanted to get their names out there because they put on a great show.

Wintry Sky.... React to that Vid and iWill watch and listen carefully to what Alan has to say of the Drummer and very competent Bassist of this Band..... She ain't all filler show, but she is more than just steady with the Bass Grooves..... As the ol' sayin' goes as Bass is concerned, "Sometimes the most important Notes, are the ones not played"..... *EDITED* to add what iListened through...... I had the same thought about them having some Lovebites influences and sound. The singer Uyu has a voice similar to the vocalist Asaka of TRiDENT. Uyu is their second vocalist already. Both videos, this one and the one for "Wintry Sky" very well produced with the same director. Hagane has has two live streams so far and have a very good stage presence.

I do love how they let the vocals ring out. There is some type of effect or vocal chord sound on the chorus pieces which makes her voice seem fuller. Very clean playing with some piano/synth thrown in there to blend all the sound together. Honestly, it's a very a solid J-Rock sound. Totally agree the bass kind of gets lost in this mix.

Yes!!! I have been hyped on this band since I found them early this year. They are young and have so much room to improve, I do agree though that the bass and drums are a little lacking, but vocalist and guitars are killer here. Sakura is absolutely nuts, shes destine to be a star.
