Thank you very much for your honest expression about your thoughts and experience in all things, martial art, chinese culture and philosophy. Thats the way we can realy learn and compare what we thought about to be true (mostly myths and wrong translations and misunderstandings) and how things objectively are. I am very grateful and looking forward to all your future teachings. best regards Thomas Hudecsek
GENIAL aula, adorei como mulher e amante das artes merciais internas! =GENIUS class, I loved it as a woman and lover of internal martial arts! Tk's Master Hai Yang.
Thanks for your explanation on TCC sword history. As far as I know one of the more known sword forms in TCC is Yang Cheng Fu sword set that it seems he learned from his friend , General Li Chin Lin in the begenning of last century. He , was considered the "saint sword" at that time in China. And, ye,s his practice originated from Wu Tang tradition. When I said TCC sword must be a combat weapon I meant, precisely that, having been adopted for practicing purposes it most retain his real usage, or else the practice loss his meaning.
You are very welcome. Li jinglin taught many people Wudang sword. I know a part of this history too and will share it with the community in the future. Thanks.
Taiji sword history section was very interesting. Is there a reason swords were made to be flexible? wouldn't it make it difficult to transfer power to the tip when stabbing? Very interesting.
always like the history angle from your explanation. i think i saw video of gongliquan's taiji sword in one video. i thought it was wrong translation because the form was not far too different from the contemporary taiji sword form :p
Returning a little to the topic of Ying Yang, as a practitioner I always had difficulty, although I was able to be faster than my male colleagues, with my technically more capable colleagues I always had more difficulty due to having less muscular strength. I usually have a 100% vegetarian diet, which also limits my muscular capacity. As I get older, I recognize that I may have to change my dietary pattern to be able to practice healthily. Knowing that traditional Chinese culture has an extensive and varied gastronomic menu, which I do not have access to for various reasons. I ask, each of the 3 internal styles has very different specificities in terms of muscular, tendon and bone requirements. Does the way in which energy power is expressed in each of the 3 styles require a specific diet for each of them? How can I reconcile advancing age and martial practice? Should women observe certain practices in their diet that make them more physically powerful?
Habitualmente tenho um regime alimentar 100% vegetariano o que me me limita igualmente a capacidade muscular.
Two questions - How do we summarise the Yin Yang Concept for internal martial art visualisation? How do we break this abstract of the Yin Yang Concept to cultivate a new balance/harmony, Qi, and internal Martial Art practice?
Reverse breathing? Opening and closing front only, back only, left side only, right side only - is this splitting and controlling the Yin Yang concept with martial intention?
Is there in the Yin Yang concepts, something about change? ie like a pendulum that keeps moving from side through the center of the arc to the opposite side, never stopping. Ps didn't the Song Dynasty's metalworkers suffer great lost of life during the wars with its neighbours?
