I have had an arise Air for a week and a half and it is by far the best reel I have. It outperforms both my Curado and SLX which both have roro spools and bearings. It casts furthger and smoother than both. Fantastic review BTW. Praise God
@@infidel24 Hahaha, I love my Curados too but I'm trying to be open minded. Even if they cast further out of the box, smoother than the micro module gears? and how's it going to feel in 5 years? I don't think so.
GREAT scripture, and a great piece of advice posted below it. well done. more on topic, a reel company would do well to hire you in some capacity. you know more about these reels than anyone else i ever encountered.
Once again you cost me some money that I am willing spend! Love your content and thanks for doing the research for me. Always grateful, and thanks for the bible verses. Keep up the good work. I watched your casting vid.. but wanted to comment on this vid. Much Love.
I have tested one I received yesterday against the Dark Wolf Ultra with a range of weights from 1 gram to 1/4 oz. The casting distance and general performance is virtually identical. The Arise is smoother and has better fit and finish, but otherwise is no better in actual functioning. I will be interested in whetherThe Reel Test evaluation is similar to mine.
And the soloking Acura is a DWU with a painted shiny Finish. Thats why it feels way Superior than the DWUs raw (unpainted?) "Finish". This Thing is steal for round about 60€ i paid in the Last Sale. Bye the way i changed the Knobs vs Daiwa I-Shape.
@@RealSnapshot yeah I have heard the soloking was very similar to the Dark wolf. I was looking at the soloking because of that. Also I heard the solo was pretty much the same as the genius. I am almost set on buying the soloking for ultralight bfs. Funny thing is there are so many bfs models coming out.
@@noobpyrotech9991 all of the new China BFS Reels can Cast 2g, maybe eben 1,5g but i personally dont do that. The Acura is paired with a Tsurinoya Dragon II UL in 1,8m. NiceRod with Fake CI4+ instead of Fuji. Guides are Not Fuji but good noname SICs. Fast Action but im only using it in private trout lakes a few Times a year. When im Not allowed to Fish on Predators Like perch or Pike. Nevertheless i can recommend the rod. The Tsurinoya Agile btw stays in my lineup for years even though there are Ticts, Adrenas etc. They know to build rods. And yes soloking and Genius are the Same. Only the Finish and the amount of Bearings ist different If i remember correctly.
@@RealSnapshot awesome thanks. I do pond fishing, and have many small panfish. I have been using 1/32 to 1/100 jig heads on spinning gear. I got heavier equipment but I like fishing for small fish and see how small I can go and far I can cast.
way better than any daiwa or shimno bfs product in its price range, i feel it has some special design for single-hand opreate (while you can play your phone on another hand) hahaha anyway, just unbox mine 5 mins ago, so far so good!
hello thank you very much for all these very complete tests, if you had to choose between the kestrel elite and the haibo air at equal price which one would be the best according to you? in particular on the ease of making small casts under the rod to fish for trout? I think the kestrel is more efficient but I would like your opinion because you have both 😉
@@THEREELTEST thanks you so much for your answer, between the kestrel elite and the valiant eagle II did you feel a difference with the extra ring in the magnetic brake? because the kestrel elite is currently on sale with only $40 more expensive than the valiant eagle II 😅 which one would you choose? sorry for the translation which is not perfect, I am French and I have your videos 👍
That’s just good they did it. Limits the amount of people pouring oil in wrong places. I’ve encountered sooo many reels that failed because the user poured oil somewhere it shouldn’t be in. For the very same reason you don’t get oil with your new car. A reel needs a proper service time to time (full disassembly, detailed cleaning and proper lubing), whereas just pouring oil inside isn’t even close to that and often times makes things just worse.
Nonsense on the nobs size offering the feel you speak of. It's the HARD material that transfers vibration easily as compared to rubber or EVE foam nobs which dampen feel to a small degree. the small nobs look like broken nobs. 🤮 You SHOULD have the line over your index finger as you hold and work the rod and you'll feel everything and this is LAW with any kind of fishing with a bait casting reel. Any chance you can confirm the Lew's Hack Attack reel from Academy (Black model) is the Speed LFS in disguise? Looks and feels exactly like the KVD reel which is fantastic.
@@THEREELTEST that’s the past, you barely reach 10000 viewers per video nowadays. And what is the correlation between intelligence and video viewership? It makes no sense to bring that up. You're niched in an area of tackle where you have a monopoly. Yet you're still failing. You haven't adapted at all to the modern viewer. Sure, your way of making videos worked pre-2020. It doesn't anymore because of the short dopamine release everyone gets from TikTok and Shorts. And your videos aren't interesting enough for how lengthy they are. But hey! You do you! You'll probably just tell me “If you know so well go and make videos yourself and try to become as big as me” or something similar.
How does the Arise Air stack up against the Clamber 2.0? They pretty much cost the same and are both being called the best chinese BFS reel. What's your opinion on that?
