When you subconsciously make you think that something's true when it isn't you start to believe that lie is a truth. It is not until someone comes at you with an undisputable truth that you realize you were lying to yourself all the time. That's what Yamaguchi did to Tsukki. What he thought and said wasn't wrong at all. But it doesn't matter if you'd always find someone who's better at something than you, we all have that desire, deep down in ourselves, to aim higher. To become the best, to reach the top and get stronger. And that unwavering force that drives us to push ourselves to the limit, to keep trying even when we know the limits of our capabilities...is pride. And that is the only thing we need.
