This album is bonkers. The production is so weird and funky in the best way and the lyrics drift in between poetic and just outright funny. Hip-Hop was great this year

I've been an Aesop Rock fan for 6 years now and listened to all his work. This is hands down his best work. I would go as far as this might be the best underground/hip-hop album I've heard. Great job guys.

I havent taken it off repeat since it released. My phone is still playing it right now while i have atmosphere playing on my computer. Like its not even music anymore, its just fused into and become a part of my life, like the background soundtrack.
While the east and west coast rappers were fake stunting trying to be cool Ryhmesayers has built the dopest label on earth. Prof is on fire, Sa-Roc is a bad ass goddess, Aesop is in his own category lyrically, Brother Ali is a beast, Atmosphere is dope. I mean the list goes on and on. Thanks yall! Hip hop forever.
Aes and rob have this down to a science it seems. The most common chord progression in pop music never gets old here. Lyrics are consistently humorous, clever, and deep. Perfect delivery and syllable rhythms. Third listen front to back and still getting chills. Respect.
This such a ridiculously awesome album. Been listening to Aesop for like fifteen years and he keeps getting better...every record he's on is better than the last. Now that Sean P passed, El-p and Aesop-affiliated music is the only hip-hop that I bother with anymore.
This is one of the lyrics that made me believe Aes is the real Kurt Vonnegut of rap. "Turning goodbyes into good biology", "never let me die on a regular hill" and this right here is altogether some of the most quotable shit ever uttered.

I don't really know how to describe Rob's style. Maybe stream of consciousness and a little surrealism? But he's brilliant and the whole project was. I praise Aes often. Rob deserves more love. Great fucking album.
The bowling alley represents Hip Hop, and it closing represents Hollywood values ruining it. They spend the whole album doing a fundraiser concert, the same way they are building an underground Hip Hop movement, just to realize they raised just $211 and that it has been closed since 1995. Popular Hip Hop has been ruined since 1995. The $211 represents the small fan base they have. That seems far-fetched, but that's just my take.
It's just the fact it became mainstream because of the influx of money and people; like every damn great thing unchecked capitalism takes advantage of. I'd say the killings of Tupac and Biggie were far more costly, in terms of real cultural significance. P.S. I'm not anti-capitalism but I'm just acknowledging one of its faults.

@@cepukon I gotta say - the extra points farming doesn't make alotta sense to me. There's a time-bonus at the end of the level decreasing by 100 points every second. That means if you're not farming > 100 points/s, you're losing out on points. Counting over a 10 second period (-1000 from the bonus), I count him getting 700-800 points from jumping barrels, for a net gain of -200 points, and this doesn't count if you get bad RNG where DK just throws barrels straight to the bottom. So why does he do this at the end of every level? Am I missing something?

Grew up durning best of hip hop. This new age indie hip hop artists bring me back to that time. And bring some serious dope ass beats and rhymes.

Rhymesayers Entertainment Just saw HMM with DJ Abilities in Birmingham: Ultra Dope. I knew Aes and Rob would bring it, but DJ Abilities blew my mind. I wish I could have seen Eyedea and Abilities, but I was stoked for the Bestiary show to bring me as close as I'll ever get. Great Show, Give my props to Homeboy Sandman and DJ Sosa. That was my first time hearing their material, and they got the crowd going like no one else could have.
El-P left or dissolved Definitive Jux, his label that all his homies were signed to, and created RTJ with Killer Mike. So there's some beef between Aes and El-P. Listen to Dorks with that thought in mind, and its the sickest diss track ever made 🤘 Still love em both 👊👈
