He's 100% not actually singing in this playthrough. He's making mouth movements while drumming and dubbing the studio stems over it. I remember the vocal delivery of this song live was especially bad. I think Melero is as talented as it gets but he needs to either be the voice of the band or the rhythm.. not both. I've seen them perform 3 times and every single time the quality of the vocal delivery plummets after the first song.

Hail the Sun has been my favorite band for almost a decade now and I firmly believe Donovan Molero is one of the greatest song writers and musicians of the last couple years. I almost wish the music was more emotionally accessible to a wider audience so more people knew about them but at the same time I feel like that would fundementally change why this band is so awesome. It's pure musical self-expression and story-telling executed at a masterful level.
