I was into Rastafarianism when I was younger the culture lifestyle but the belief system no always believe in Yeshua Hamashiac and the son of God and savior of humanity I grew up in Pentecostal faith. I don't know why people are not considering how the Ethiopian orthodox church decided to Crown His Majesty as the King of kings and the Lord of lords and the light of this World, the conquering Lion of Judah because that is not in the colonial masters concept of Christianity. The EOC is in turmoil and confusion and I put it to you it is because it has not come to terms with Haile Selassie I being the Messiah, although it declared Him, First Lord (Germawi Kedamawi). King of Kings (Negus Negas) and Conquering Lion of Judah (Moa Anbesa Makadesh Imnezegede Yehudah) at His coronation and endorsed full prostration to H.I.M.. Rasta will not be complete without accepting certain fundamentals found in the EOC but likewise the EOC is missing its connection to its Head by relegating the Emperor to nothing but a saintly man.

Emperor Haile Selassie I sent the EOC to Jamaica to introduce Jamaicans to the Ethiopian church doctrine and culture, not specifically the Rastas. H.I.M. made it clear that salvation is a personal process and relationship between an individual and his Maker and that it happens across ethnic, and religious boundaries. In other words not just Christians are being saved but sincere Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists can also. He never suggested that Rastas should abandon their faith and culture and join the EOC in order to know Christ. Stop the Rasta bashing. Western Christianity is even more divided confused and corrupt than any group of RasTafari. If you are going to start correcting people , start there.
