Hailey's On It Season 1 Finale Review 

I think people wouldn't have had such a hard time with Hailey's decision to let go of Scott if it weren't for the end of the world scenario. The Whale episode proves that she could have gotten off on a technicality.

The season one finale of Hailey's On It was great, but also so shocking and heartbreaking at the same time! In this video, I talk about my thoughts on the finale. Also, I know I said in the introduction that I would talk about what I want to happen in season 2, but I'll save that for another video. Disney please Disney don’t FUMBLE THIS SHOW 😭😭😭

I love this show, but it should honesty be for teenagers, not a kids show. ❤ Certain things in it kids shouldnt be knowing about it. I was pretty upset after watching this, I was not expecting these events. It does upset me when they say Hailey is selfish, because she isn't. I mean the list is a huge deal but after a while of chasing someone who doesn't like you back is kind of stressful. If we get a season two I'm sure things will turn around. I do not really trust Sanjay. Like how did he even appear when he was some fake dude Hailey made up? It doesn't make sense how Hailey is giving up with Scott but she spent an entire 30 episode chasing him. You do have a point about Scott not noticing Hailey is upset. She was visibly upset, and Scott couldn't notice that but he remembers everything Hailey had said about Sanjay. I honestly am surprised how connected Scott and Kristine were during the dance. While they were dating I did not see this in the episodes. But overall, this episode sent alot of anger, disbelief, happiness, and just a swirl of emotions.

You know the writing's good when youre invested in the lovelife of two middle-school dorks who have a loving family and no sad backstory

Really hoping for Season 2, and I agree, I think people were really harsh on Hailey.

Haven't watched this show, but have you watched The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish? As a black man who’s researched as far as he could, it's the only GOOD black kids show now. The really sad part is that there’s barely any good black kids shows running right now. I’m sure there’s some I haven’t heard of. But then you look at shows from the big three networks. Young Dylan sucks, That Girl Lay Lay sucks, even The Proud Family sucks now! All three networks have been sabotaging practically every show that isn’t a spin-off, sequel series or reboot for like the past 5 years now. One of the victims unfortunately includes Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. And who knows if that show will get a third season. Raven’s Home, Craig of the Creek and the latter show’s spin-off, Jessica’s Big Little World are all over now. Iyanu: Child of Wonder which we’ve waited for almost two years was just announced to be delayed to 2025! The best we can hope for is that A New Wish stays consistent with their quality moving forward. A modern Fairly OddParents show. Who’d have thunk?

I think the reason this finale works is because of how it subverts its own show's formula. Up until this point, the show didn't have a lot of exaggerated melodrama. Things never got too messy or heavy and most conflicts resolved in surprisingly clean anti-climaxes (a prime example of this being the love triangle between Hailey, Scot, and Kristine not being being a heated hot mess like I thought it going to be) Poor Scot.

Disney had better not screw this up! This is a cliffhanger

The story I want to see is the rollerblading all the way to Orlando. They could do a season 2 with Scott moving to Florida and the season finale shows there are two things left on the list rollerblade to Orlando and kiss Scott. And then it reveals the villain of the show which is another Haley but she wants all Haley’s to suffer but she has to deal with a Haley in the future who is incredible successful. And then it ends with a special episode movie length where she rollerblades to Orlando

They don't want to deal with the kiss leaving until the end. The show sometimes soft situations to avoid overwhelming the audience, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, for example Scott being oblivious to Hailey's crush works for some time (we need some scenes of him being suspicious during TV series ), but not now, if no at this moment Scott needed to ask himself questions. The episode doesn't decide between "Hailey lies about her suitor" or "Hailey tells the truth about Sangay". I don't know how they would have executed it better within the rules of the show. I enjoyed the episode.

I’m hoping the show will get a second season.
