The deal with Busch is nothing. I wouldn’t want people in my office when it’s not going the way I want either. I’m not saying this is right but it is what it is. With Deegan, or any other female driver, they are never going to get a break when it comes to being respected. This isn’t the first time Ankrum has done something like that to her and these guys don’t care because there’s no thought about getting retaliated against or getting punched in the mouth afterward.

Neither of these drivers were in the wrong. Hailie's comment cracked me up, she sounds more surprised than angry. And yeah Kyle was absolutely fine for asking to be left alone
Kyle had every right to decline an in truck interview. He could have been frustrated or just wanted to concentrate on the last few laps of the race. I know they have media obligations, but that’s not one of them.
This video shouldn't have even included Kyle Busch. He had a right to be frustrated and reserves the right to decline interviews especially in that situation. This was a NON issue..
Don't blame Busch one bit, especially for a Michael Waltrip interview. Busch is trying to win a race, not fill dead air-time. Waltrip is tolerable for the grid walk where his clowning doesn't really matter. During a race, he should just leave the drivers alone.
Miclown Waltrip needs to go, period, off the air the same place his Boogity brother went. I would reject every single Miclown interview ever requested, and Id made sure I let them know I will do an interview, just not with him.
Im not surprised kyle would be difficult to get an quality interview from during a race. Emotions run high during a race even when its red flagged because of the hyper awareness the brain in running at inorder to race and be competitive. Some drivers are able to switch their mental state on and off during a race if they want but kyle has never been that way. Kyle is always running at 110% till the checked flag falls. So trying to radio him with less than 5 to go was either a bad decision by t.v. producer not knowing who kyle is and thinking "hes a cup driver and the most famous in the field so he should be a professional and cool with answering some questions during a stressful point of the race or maybe more insidiously the producer was hoping for a Rowdy reaction which would make for good t.v. content, and get clicks on socials b.c. kyle was just being kyle and gives no Fs. And will tell u how he really feels about it.
Hailie needs to stop being so worried about making contact or getting wrecked. She puts herself In bad positions often bc she backs out or isn't willing to push. So she gets wrecked bc she's backing out and trucks behind don't see it or she's gets wrecked cause she's slid back in the field and then a wreck occurs mid pack in which she gets collected or run over while trying to avoid. She can be fun to watch and I'd like to have a female that's competitive and competing for wins it would be good for the sport and funny to see the guys reactions to getting beat by a woman. So it would be an interesting dynamic but Hailie needs to get over the mental block or maybe her problem is a self imposed strategy to simply survive each race instead of getting in the truck ready to compete for the top spot at the end no matter what. She's trying so hard to not get wrecked that it inevitably causes her to get into a wreck usually initiated by another driver but is the result of her choices based on her wanting to just survive till thr checkered and not race hard till the end. I hope she can figured out though she adds another level of entertainment to a race currently so if she could start competing for podium spots the truck series would be even more interesting to watch
What kills me is, if Hailie were to pull bonehead moves like Hosevar did the haters would be all over her. More times than not her bad luck and bad finishes aren't her fault. She's doing fine, she's learning and will continue to grow as a driver. Hailie has a wonderful attitude about racing and life, she's a credit and a bright light to the sport. The sport needs it with the sad sack Kyle Busch around.

I don't have to drive a race car to recognize that a driver lacks talent, or recognize when they have it. I don't have to be a Superbowl winning quarterback to recognize an overthrown football or poor read. The whole "hOw MaNy WiNs dO yOu HaVe" just makes you sound like a boomer fanboy. That said, Hailie has some talent. She can definitely drive fast. But there's a difference between being a fast driver and a racer. She has next to no understanding of the car she drives, and while that's not a requirement (ex. Kyle Larson) most of the great drivers have that trait (Kurt and Kyle, Earnhardt, Mark Martin). Halie also just hasn't developed the talent to put an entire race together, often finding herself mired in the midpack glob of traffic and inevitably making contact that damages the car. I think given the opportunity she will develop into a decent driver but it's going to take time for her to mature, and a patient car owner. Right now, I've kinda gotta agree, she's little more than a hot chick who is easy to market and a diversity hire

Well with Hailie after any driver takes a hit in a race. that could of been avoided it's anger, shock and adrenaline all at the same time. She's certainly not known for nasty comments, but wouldn't be surprised and understand if she said a comment a whole lot worse. With Kyle Busch that late in the race, who knows what was going on? it clearly wasn't a good time for an interview. And since he won. the fans heard all about the race in the post race interview. Busch achieved #100, not a small task in any series, congrats to Kyle.

Deegan is one of the kindest people on the track. Some of what plagues her is her lack of agression and willingness to race dirty. I think her comments were warranted and maybe a sign she is getting to a tipping point with the antics of other dirty drivers.
You must not have watched her in ARCA battling Travis Krause and others, before she got the truck ride, because there were several times she was aggressive and used other drivers up in order to win.

Deegan continues to get unfairly manhandled on the track because some drivers do not respect her, so what. Both drive race cars and both complain a lot about other drivers. When KB is on you can’t beat him in a truck or car. Deegan is never on and seems to always be in the way of the others. There is something to the saying about in order to earn respect from others you’ve got to give respect to others. Maybe Deegan could use some schooling on respect.

Hailey is most definitely talented she drives dirt cars for fun! I’ve raced dirt late models and modifieds my entire life! I’d like to see 90% of these guys attempt that 😂 it’s not easy going from a lighter car with wider tires and often times more power to something with the aero of a brick on narrow junk good years and a windshield so it becomes an oven! I despise driving on asphalt unless it’s a road course
When Hailie Deegan was in ARCA she drove Toyota's and won races,since she drives for Ford she follows from the back of the pack,she probably would have been better if she stuck with Toyota,just saying.
It would have fast tracked her to the cup series, but the Toyota development program has left more than one driver without a ride that totally deserved--Joey Logano and Erik Jones to name two off the top of my head.

He did pay for her years in karting which was extremely successful, which got her sponsorship for her European road racing training, which is when Bobby Rahal picked her up to run his car which landed her sponsorship. It was her success at Indy that she was able to parlay sponsorship into NASCAR. You may have trouble with Danica, but those are facts. BTW, race cars run on money.
