this is one of the best new songs I have heard in years ( goose bumps good), if I was there mom I would be as proud as punch ,and Este her stage antics are great !!! these girls have major league talent , so now this 60 year old rocker is going to break out the SG and work this song out
she gets to sing a lot of parts now where the studio version is Danielle; I just saw a vid of Running if You Call My Name where she sand the whole first verse. It was very nice:)
This song is based on Este's UCLA freshman experience with a guy who used her for sex, pretending to want a relationship. Such disappointment is reflected in both the song lyrics and the facial/body expressions she makes. Her heartbroken angst after losing her virginity to a guy who betrayed her despite her loyalty. The night of this performance was especially hard for her and she was requestered to hitting the drum pad. The band manager took away her bass as punishment for her temper tantrum and subsequent loss of revenue. Due to a real life experience, the song is hard-hitting, emotional and therapeutic for all the band members.
