I know how you feel I had a bad reaction to a hair bleach in a hair salon once. My scalp started blistering and my head started swelling. My eyes were so swollen too 😫 the pain was unbearable, but the cool wash afterwards was the best thing ever! Took weeks for the blisters to heal fully. I feel your pain babe 💕

Bless you! I’m a hairdresser and am always so careful when I do a full scalp bleach. You’re not meant to put higher peroxide directly onto the scalp and some bleach powders are not even meant to have contact with skin. Did they give you a skin test prior to your appointment? That’s standard legal procedure to prevent things like this happening. Tip: A milk bath on your scalp will feel really soothing and help the inflammation. Rinse your hair and then pour a pint of milk all over your scalp. As cold as you can make it, straight from the fridge, then shampoo gently and condition as normal 😉

Demi, i do a hair course at college, and even at our age and level of training we are told as soon as a client alerts you that they have had a reaction to a product we are told to stop the treatment altogether and advise them to seek medical attention. The fact that this salon didn't do that is so unprofessional & this may seem harsh but i would even sue if i were you!

Hey Demi! Always watch your videos 😘 I’m a hairdresser and this happens a lot with people !! Milk works amazing to help sooth the blisters😃 , some people’s scalp are just more sensitive also they may have used 9% on your scalp which would of been more painful!! Give me a message if you need any advice ❤️❤️ also I would wait for your scalp to calm down before another toner 😛

Mine did the same demi ! Once the purple has calmed down buy garnier d+++ just dont wack it it on your roots that lifted my hair to white blonde. The hairdressers have never been able to get my hair to white blonde xx

I literally had the same thing happen at the hairdressers!! It was unbearable and I couldn’t leave the toner on and it was exactly the same all blistered and tight after. Put me off bleaching roots and never gone back! Had a root stretch! Hope you’re ok!!

I feel you with the cold shower feeling amazing ! This happened to me a few weeks ago! My hairdresser was trialing a new bleach it was agony but I thought I was being a baby so told her to leave it on. Putting my head under cool water was the best feeling ever! (It was a mobile hair dresser) your scalp will start to peel soon try not to pick it. Once mine started to peel I used coconut oil over night every few days and it really helped! Feel for you! Luckily I was going bright pink so I'm not blue !

I’m a hairdresser myself, and I can tell you that I always advise new clients to get skin tests with me whether it is permanent/semipermanent colour or if it’s bleach on a small cotton bud, either behind the ear or in the crook of the arm. I then always take records on who’s had skin tests for insurance and healthy and safety reasons. Not all hairdressers do this sadly! Everyone should always be aware even if think you trust the person doing it! As from what it looks like you had an irritant reaction to either the powder lightener or the peroxide which can be down to several reasons, for example peroxide’s prolonged expose to oxygen or out of date chemicals etc.. even if you’ve been dying your hair for the last 12 or so years it wouldn’t matter your bodies hormones change all the time xx

@@steff6682 As a hairdresser. We had to give every customer a skin test, prior to every colour. It doesn't matter if they have had a skin test previously. Skin can change, and you can become sensitive/ allergic to products that were previously OK.

Usually a customer only requires a patch test when they're a new customer that's it. So you're telling me you make your customers have a patch test before every appointment because never in ten years have I heard that 😂

I feel your pain, had this as well, all open wounds all over my head. Went to a hairdressers id been going to for around a year so it wasnt as though i wasnt use to the brands they used. But i couldnt touch my hair for about a week even brushing it hurt so bad. My hair was so damaged that it started breaking off, all different lengths, all over the place, so just watch out for that.

Ouch, same thing happened to me after using L’Oréal preference ultra lightening. I ended up with 20 blisters on just one side of my head. I used aloe Vera gel to soothe my scalp & it actually healed up fairly quickly so hopefully yours does too x

Every salon should do a patch test! I recently changed salons and my hairdresser did a patch test and it’s good job as I had a reaction. It’s so important! Every salon uses different brands of products so can react differently. Should of been taken off straight away not left for 30 mins 😩

I did mine myself on Thursday and my scalp is cut to bits so so dangerous! This means they used powder bleach(cheaper) which is not supposed to go to the root they should know better 😷 no pain like it hope you're all good hun x

My hairdresser changed her brand of dyes and I had a reaction, swollen face and the lot! My blisters started weeping after a few days too was absolutely awful. Found the best thing was baby shampoo and cool showers until it cleared up. Also I kinda like like bluish tint to your hair!

Oh hun I feel your pain!!! I got my best friend to bleach my hair....twice in 1 day and we went from black to red....I loved the colour but the pain was horrific....I didn't managed brush my hair for a week after and my entire head scabbed over. Hope u feel better soon tho

I had the similar thing happen to me and my scalp called down after about 2 weeks with cold showers / baths and no heat! Using a soft brush to just brush the ends too, try and avoid the scalp Xx

Chemical burns are damn painful - mine was just the size of a 50p but it was open and weeping! I stopped the blonde from then on out! Gutted as my hair was white!

They must of used a high peroxide to burn your scalp. Try using cool water when you wash your hair or use dry shampoo if you can't bear to put anything on your scalp until your head heals better. Don't pick the scabs either. I would recommend having highlights next time hun

Ahhh this happened to me exactly about a year ago lovely!! They must have been using a new toner, I've had countless scalp bleaches over the years with the usual discomfort but this time I was screaming as soon as it hit my raw scalp and had them wash it off immediately, it was only in for a few seconds and still basically left a blister!!! So bad then they tried to apply it to my ends without telling me I was sooo stressed 🖤 Whenever I get a patchy job I just pop a lilac semi permanent/fudge over wich seems to blend it all and when it fades out it's a clean white colour 💜 ❄❄❄

So I died my hair for mams 60th we had a photo on Tyne mouth beach. Everything was okay next day my face swelt up massive. I started having an anafalatic shock. Anyway long story short this was September last year im still not discharged from hospital and its burnt all my skin off my neck. So I feel you sister. Xx

i went from black to blonde myself over 3 days my scalp wasnt happy then i went to a hairdressers just so they could even out a few parts that were a bit yellow and tone it and ive never been in so much pain in my life i felt physically sick from the pain it felt like my head was on fire and i had to get them to wash of the bleach as soon as they finished applying it when they put the cool water on my scalp it felt even worse and when i sat back in the chair and looked in the mirror i had little spots of blood on my scalp it felt really tight aswell it was uncomfortable to lay my head on a pillow at night and after a few days some of my scalp came away it was scary like ive had blonde dye react 3 times so i prefer to do mine at home so i can immediately wash it off if i need to x btw fudge violet shampoo will help the yellow and jerome russel has new toning dyes there amazing! you get it from superdrug ive had no reaction and any yellow will go just wait a few weeks til your scalp calms down x

Hi Demi, you can get conditioning colours that have no chemicals. la riche directions is one of my faves and they do toners and grey. :) no pain and conditioning for your hair :)

Your so lucky! I have dermatitis and any hair dye bleach makes my ears swell up HUGE and leak a orange or clear liquid I also get a rash on my neck and scalp which leaks fluid 😳

Don't risk your health on your hair babe just do foils or get ombre so it doesn't touch your scalp when your hair grows out you could easily turn your hair into a fade it would be so beautiful💕

It happened to me a few years ago when I was having highlights. The hairdresser put a carrier bag on my head to make the bleach work faster. And after a few minutes I said my head feels really hot and she said that’s good perhaps it’ll take quicker. Then I said omg it’s literally burning me. She lifted the bag and there was like smoke coming off my hair. I could smell singed hair. She was panicking too. But I was fine and I still use bleach. The hairdresser reckons it was a faulty box of the bleach. Never used her again though I think she was afraid it would happen again, but she still does my mothers hair x

I know exactly that pain you felt.... I have psoriasis on my scalp and I used to have platinum blonde hair (twice I’ve had it and it literally was paper white and had the consistency of candy floss lol) and the bleach on my scalp used to burn so hard the pain would literally make my heart palpate and I would heave it hurt that much! So so bad and when I used to bleach my hair at home I used to use 60% volume (anything above 20 is considered really bad for the hair and the hair dresser used to say she was surprised I actually had any hair left on my head) and I would leave it on for an hour! So so bad looking back I can’t believe I went through all that pain just to be blonde! Saying that.... being blonde was the best time of my life and I would love to be blonde again lol it is true what they say.... blondes do have more fun (but the process of being burnt not so fun lol) my head used to blister and weep for weeks after it was gross so you have that to look forward to x

Lisa-Marie Young I use either T gel for more of an everyday ‘at bay’ shampoo, or a shampoo called Alphosyl.... but if it’s a really bad flare up I have to see my doctor and get polytar on prescription and this lotion which burns like hell but clears it up no time and also a cream ointment that helps too x

I feel your pain I have the exact same reaction if I use treseme shampoo :(. So sore sounds strange but dilute some sudacrem in water and just gently massage it into your scalp it helped me xxx

I'm a hairdresser and if you told me you had dermatitis wether it was now or in the past, I would have never ever put bleach straight onto your scalp! I would have done a full head of highlights close together and then toned, would have given a much more even lovely result, shame on those stylists for doing that hope you get it sorted xx

Loads Coconut oil on ur scalp 4 sure. Will help healing. Looks to me like to stronger peroxide was used bless ya. Keep using purple shampoo. As 4 hair once scalp has settled go to different salon n get toner put on an inch away from roots. Low peroxide xxx i have had many disasters. 🤣🤣🤣😉
