Before the hair dying:
This is a re-dye after 2 months, it actually should look more of a faded reddish with a tint of purple but the camera makes it look more purple!
Before tips:
-put moisturiser on your skin first as it reduces the dye staining your skin and this makes its easier to scub any off then.
-Buy a shower cap!
-ALWAYS wear the gloves even when washing it out your hair!
- use head and showers to provide your white bath from hair dye stains
After: tips:
- use an old towl to dry you hair with then wash it as soon as your done (as dye will be on it)
- leave the conditioner in over night if you can (the longer the better)
- avoid straightening, blow drying your hair and the sun- use products to help condition it!
-dye your hair a week before an event because if there are any areas you forgot to remove on your skin it will stay on for a few days!
-don't wash your hair till your natural oils kick in! the longer you wait to next
wash your hair the better!
- if it gets on your skin/ face/ neck and you can't get it off with water the secret is washing up powder/tablets will make it come right off! but don't scrub too hard as it drys your skin!

@ThaCoOkieMonstaa1 thats completely normal even after 2-3 washes after dying. It actually happens with most colours but you notice it more with non natural colours

@silverwolf12341 because your hair is mixed natural and already dyed its best to go into the hair dresses and get your hair stripped and then dye it purple, then you can dye it yourself at home from then on :)

@Melody Burgess-Allen its a great colour and its a suttle purple. Just be carful when at school though because my friend (when I was 13) round your age dyed her hair red and she had to leave school and not return until it was a natural colour again!

@HelloImBrownie as far as i'm awear if you want it really bright your have to bleach it esp if your hair is naturally dark. As long as you look after your hair bleaching isn't bad! deep conditioning is your best friend :)

@ColourMinion it's a little dry afterward but i leave in coconut oil overnight twice a week and wash it out in the morning which makes my hair healthier in no time! :)

I just dyed my hair red like right now I'm in the process of roughing it up like my cap is on and I'm gonna wash it out tomorrow and now I wanna be purple! Grr!

@superman4linzi, can take weeks i'm afraid! think mines about 10-15 shampoo n conditioning (each time less purple water can be seen) HOWEVER using head and sholders shampoo can help! massage it gently concentrating on ur scalp,I find when hair dying your scalp often gets dye on it and thats what the excess is mostly from (think, at the hair dresses they use a brush and put the dye on to your roots never touching your scalp so get less excess)but don't use it to much as it WILL fade the colour!

@lea SS when doing your ends, foil it then add heat (hair dryer) it will help it stay in longer :)

@TheAmyelizabethbrown it's not meant to be a light purple, the darkness will depend on how dark your hair was to begin with. Use head and shouldersto lighting it as it will fade it out quicker than normal shampoo

@flower82x hey! :-) if you check out my most recent video your see my hair is now dark brown. I would suggest waiting for the purple to fade but if you realllllly don't like it don't wash your hair until the natural oils come in, then apply a dark brown perminate colour. You will find the purple will stay in a little but each time you dye it will go. Leaving the dye in longer will make it darker but will dry out your hair so only do this if your hair isn't too damaged :-) x

@vangeldren0701 aww its ok to go from red to purple though it won't go a funny colour! when you said your going to wash it out tomorrow I hope your not leaving the dye in your hair over night !! it will really damage it!

I used that tonight (: it looks realllyy dark like almost black but I put it under a light and it looked like cherry, quite pink /: I've only just done it though so maybe after a few washes it will be fine, it should show more in the sun (:

@WhatWhatChick666 going back to dark blonde won't be cheap. Best thing to do is to go into a hair saloon, They will need to strip the colour from your hair inorder for you to go a lighter shade. If you want to go to brown then thats easy as that what I did after. Head and showers shampoo will make the colour fade if thats any use for you. megz

@superman4linzi be carful cos if u end up washing it to much your hair and scalp will get very dry! and a dry scalp means dandruff, which no one can pull off! :P

I dyed my hair today with the same product. My hair is naturally black/darkdarkbrown and yeah you don't see a thing... I hate that my hair wont pick up on any colour, that simply means I have to go to the barber and pay a lotttttt of money to get my hair the colour I want it.. While others can just buy a bottle, put it in, and it's done..

I love this colour, and I've bought a box. How damaged is your hair as a result? Mine's a pain to manage if it gets very dry, so I'm still deciding if it's right for me or not.

@SoShanss1998 is your hair brown? It will go more red if it is. Bleach it or see when you next dye it if it goes more purple. You may have washed it out to soon on your first go

Yesterday I dip dyed my hair with mystic violet and I have brown hair and if I am honest it didnt really go well, didnt show up so maybe use bleech x

@lilemi98 how dark is your hair naturally? If its not too dark it will look purple, esp if its your first time dying. The examples it gives on the side are very account!

I have used XXL in Damson Wine twice. Natural hair colour is medium brown The first time I dyed it my hair looked lovely and purple but the second time it looked a lot darker with a purplish tinge. Which type of purple would you say is the best out of XXL range?

I looked at this video just before dying my hair mystic violet. Okay, so while dying my hair and washing it out, it looked like i had wrestled then violently murdered a beetroot..funtimes, only for it to turn out almost black D: but, kinda really dark purple in daylight.

I am Purple too !!! I am looking to try this brand I live my colour now but I use a semi permanent colour called rubine by directions .. Check out my videos to see it there it's very purple! Only thing is it fades so fast and stains everything ! Xxxx
