Samantha, I thank the Lord for you. When I am taking out my hair, I must be honest, sometimes I get so upset, and would pull my hair out. Thank you for showing me taking my hair our with my leave in. Thank you, thank you. Bless.
I only leave my twist or braids in for four to eight weeks and when I take it down, I mist my hair with Aleo Vera juice and then almond oil and let sit on my hair until it dries and the takedown is a breeze. I would recommend using an oil on your hair (especially if you have 4c hair like myself) before taking it down because yes, my hair starts to lock after a few days.
That's interesting, Sam...I'm the opposite....plaits lock my hair, twists do not...and my hair looks very similar to yours...only started last year, but I wish I'd done twists years ago.
I have diy african threading (13 to be exact) and i braided my hair prior to threading. I have been wearing this since early july. I started with yarn but i unwrapped and changed to rubber thread when it arrived. My hair stayes uber-moisturized! I prepoo, wash, condition, hydrate, and lco.
I had waist length hair a week ago..it is no longer there...hair dresser cut most of it....why???? She said it looked like it went through alot...really??? Geesh..what was the point of me taking care of my hair all these years????
You should use something with some slip. Ambunu is the best. Homemade flaxseed or okra gel. Or even a leave in conditione or fresh aloe Vera. Something. It would have gone a lot easier.
she had no choice she was unwell and in and out of surgeries. she didn't lose anything but dead hair I took my time however it could have happened if it was herself or another person handling it.

Mine r neat for 3 weeks. I force myself to go 4. I started platting from the scalp for about an inch, then change to twist. It helped to stay neat longer.
Hi where can I buy the black castor oil you use. I didn't find it on Amazon. TY so much for being a blessing. I just big chopped for the 7th maybe 8th time in ten yrs. I have fine thin 4c hair and was never able to get past neck length. Starting my 6 month challenge will be leaving my twist in one month b4 retwisting. Starting from 3 inches.
