Same thing happened to me when I was 19. Trauma from hair loss was extreme. Laughter returned to life once I started wearing hair pieces at 21. Though that happiness was temporary, followed by years of isolation and darkness. Hair piece/systems ruined my entire life!! Now I want 20 years of my life back!
Well i started using hair pieces, since when i was 21. This thing is not easy to manage. So your day starts with taking a shower, washing and conditioning the hair (if you had left them on your head overnight, which almost 60-70% of the users do). But by the middle of the day, the hair start getting drier, and thicker and until and unless you are in a profession where you can pay constant attention or sit in a room, away from all the wind, dust and sun, they turn in to a dry matted wig. If you are bold enough and can face the world with a wig, kudos to you, otherwise you try to hide behind places and excuses. Then you come back home, and you have to "treat/prepare" your hair system again. Wash them, condition them, before you can head out or face the world again. Many a times, you are tired enough and hide yourself under a hat or just simply stay at home. I have used the hair systems half of my life and most of these years i was in hiding. It didn't add much to my confidence level or anxiety, after getting bald at such a young age. One should only decide to wear hair systems, if they are sure they can manage them easily or they arestrong enough to know, many ordinary people/strangers will recognize you are wearing a hair piece and you may face strong long stares. Good Luck!
qwer asdf I getcha man :) thanks for clearing that up. It's a shame that so many people have to feel like this is there only hope I being one of them up until recently. All you gotta do is just change your mindset and hold your head high because at the end of the day it's not what you look like what defines you it's is the actions you take that makes you the unique person you are. And if people still judge you about how you look it just makes it easier for you to cut out the fake people in your life and focus on the ones that matter.
mcstyle24 If she can't accept him for wearing hair enhancement that improves his appearance and makes him feel good, then that's her problem, and she won't be worth knowing anyway. The funny thing is, she'll be wearing make-up, hair extensions and high heels. Female enhancements that are oddly 'allowed'.
Young men shouldn't have to deal with male pattern baldness, it's so unfair when it strikes in your youth/prime... But at least we have options today, hair systems, finasteride + minoxidil or hair transplants. They can be expensive, but it's worth it to actually look the age you are, to look how you were always supposed to look.
Ricky Knowles Hair & Wellness Yeah that's it. Incredible. Ricky is tops. And the system is tops. On top of his head. Joking aside, he does a great job!!
+Ricky Knowles Hair & Wellness Hi Mr. Ricky, i would love to avail and have your Hair Replacement. But how? Is anyone you could recommend or refer to me? I am currently working here in Kuwait, i will be in the Philippines this coming mid of September (just for a month). I'm hoping to see you or even just your responce to this message. Thanking you so much in advance!
I used to cut hair for a living and I have an eye for hair replacements, even the good ones. This one would fool me. This is literally the best hair replacement I have ever seen. Amazing job!
+Michael McMichaels no necessary! but people who think that "from $500" is a kind of unrealistic price to pay every 3-4 weeks that last the hair system!!
With a statement like that "He's Hot" You need to come out the closet. That was a Gay Comment if u ever heard one. Or maybe your just trolling? More girls for us straight guys :o) yeahiiii
I feel so bad. It even sucks for me too because my hair is thinning and I'm 17 using rogaine :// hopefully I'll be able o control it, not being able to control hair loss is so devastating.
For everyone concidering starting to use this. If you sweat alot on the top of your head, this could be a pain in the ass. As for me, ive been wearing for about a year. I train 4 times a week, and i sweat a decent amount. I have to reattatch it myself almost every week, and even then its very loose. Also the more hair you have under, the faster it will loosen because the hair pushes the glue out when it grows. A reattatchment takes for me about 2 hours if im lucky. Its alot of work cleaning and gluing yourself, and it can get really messy. So if your never sweat, this is a great option. In general i regret it, too much work and very expensive. Also i have lost alot of my freedom, cuz you always have to fix it so it would look natural and of course, water will make the glue loosen faster too. So now underwater swimming for me. Just mye2 cents
so this propably not an option for me because i sweat like a pig . i also have oily skin . i produce like two gallons of sweat and oil every day and it is a pain in the ass . maybe we should invest in prolonging our lives so that maybe in 2080 their will be a solution to balding .
How about the "everyday feel" of wearing it? Does it feel like having plastic on top of your head all day? Apart from the sweating issue you mention, can you tell me any other cons you found by wearing? Thanks!
If you're seriously interested in hair replacement, give Ricky a shot. I've been a customer since November, and I've been extremely happy with the results.
I prayed and hope one day scientists and doctors will find a permanent cure for the problems with hair lost. Hair is the crown jewels for both men and women. It's a very painful journey for so many people loosing hair at a very young age. Taking away their beauties & youthfulness. God bless you all folks.
Hi Ricky I wanted to ask you if these hair systems have to be styled every single time with products like gels, sprays etc...? I haven't seen a single video where the hair replacement isn't styled towards the back. Would it be appropriate for having the messy, wake up look in the morning without using any products? A reply would really be appreciated. Thanks
I have “fine” hair on sides and back. It also the type of hair that doesn’t lay flat on my scalp. That’s why I hate growing it too long on sides. I like to keep a #2-3 on sides and back. Will I be able to get a hair system? I’m very particular of the styles I want. I just got FUE done , but fear it won’t give me the results I want. Can you please help me? :(
I had this done & then had them remove it the very next day. I just wasn't feeling it! I feel so much better w/my real hair & the maintenance, hassle & price is just not worth it in my opinion! And that's after I got a huge discount too.
+Ken Snyder kind of.. yeah!.. BUT, the skin gets totally undetectable, and thats not how they were some years ago!.. you could see anyone wearing a toupee before.. now you can't notice it! (if done properly of course)
The problem here: Young guy has great donor area sides and back, good hair. This new trend of cutting so short ( barbering) sides and back, the new piece appears as an Acorn sitting on top of head. I can spot immediately. Difference between trend and ( STYLE) STYLE IS TIMELESS
Ive been wearing hair since Im 24...I say go for lace...And the kid had enough hair in the back to just do a front pièce..Just needed to grow his hair out more...Also..Better to wear it down.. Hairline never looks completely real..esp when you sweat...
all well and good, but how do I clean my scalp under the new hair. and if that is not done properly then it starts to itch. Of course, everything is pro and con
Hi Ricky, I am looking into this hair system. I live in Massachusetts and hard for me to find a good resource. What hair system company do you use. I want a human hair system. Also I’ve heard that the adhesive method is dangerous that I should do the tape tab method is this true?
You showed too much fuss, people want easy and quick, not saying you did a bad job at all, it was great, but someone contemplating this may get discouraged with all the work you have shown. But an excellent job.
+Joey Gagliardi This video is just demonstrating one type of application for hair replacement. There are many attachment options depending on one's wants and needs. Check out our other video which shows a faster attachment process: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-owgX8jYpl98.html
do you know of anyone or place in the state of georgia that does the thin skin system. im 26 used to have thick beautiful hair and bow my hair has thinned so badly and i have lost my hailr line and loosing my hair back to my crown. now i shave it. loosing my hair has caused me depression and lack of confidence. and i wpuld love to once again have hair. if you could give me any information that could lead me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it.
I'd kill to have as much hair as he has growing on his head naturally. He could still reverse/prevent/slow his hair loss with medications, dermaroller, prp, etc.
Due to your skull producing natural oils etc, the glue is going to stop sticking to your head. Don’t wash your face for a week and you could scrape the oil and grease off your skin. So imagine what it’s like under that hair piece.. ok for a weekend away but hold on to your head after that in the wind.
Donny the adhesives we use are formulated to last up to four weeks, however we highly recommend our clients to remove the hair every two weeks. If you have any further questions we will be happy to answer any concern you may have. Info@hairandwellness.com
Ricky Knowles Hair & Wellness hi and thanks for the reply. I have to wash my hair each day as it’s so greasy. My scalp is greasy after an hour of washing my hair. It’s been this way since my teens which is why I was dubious of your hair pieces sticking to such a greasy surface for so long. This is why I have veered away from hair pieces. Never mind, you live and learn. Thanks for the reply and wish you a successful future. Cheers
That line in the back at the end totally looks like he has a piece on right?? I don’t get it the dude had a good amount of hair already and he needs a hair piece? I guess I don’t get it but I also have a full head of hair at 34 so I don’t know the issues these guys face but please blend that back hair line in better because it totally looks like he’s wearing a toupee
No reason at all for this kid to get a hair system. His hair was fine and looked relatively strong. Grow it out more and spray some Toppik in the temples and he's fine.
i want to know who the glue company is??? i never seen it in a tube. would be much appreciated if you would let me know ricky...all the best mate keep up the great work
So all this guys hair that is still left on top, which he still has - a lot of by the way, is all going to die out because he now has a wig on top of it... Right or not How does this wig blend in with the hair he still has on top ?
um, i have a question for you.. he has some hair on the top, you shaven it off and put glue on it, it'll caused itchy because there's hair. how can you solved it?
This is totally nuts. This guy still had pretty much a full head of hair, with only minimal thinning at the front. A few months on Finasteride and he'd have thickened up what was there and the loss would barely be noticeable. Way more convenient and much, much less expense than opting for expensive hair replacement when you don't really need it.
I don't think you know (or maybe you're not considering) how bad Finasteride is for a lot of men. My brother told me his sex drive completely diminished. It might work for some, but at least this method doesn't involve having to take anything.
Side-effects (usually minimal) in less than 2% of men. I know dozens who have taken it for years (decades even) and I've never heard of anyone suffering any side-effects.
i) The instances of sexual side effects are low but can be life ruining when they occur. It is also NOT yet established whether they are permanent because we simply don't have the data. They may well be. However, distributors of Finasteride will make claims to the contrary. ii) The benefits of taking Finasteride diminish over time.
Thats what i thought, and i laughed at anyone who said they got side affects from it and i never believed anyone, until one day i realised to give finasteride a go, and just after 3 days i started noticing nasty side affects, brain fog, body aches, dry eyes, i felt like a zombie the whole day in my work after taking it with severe anxiety, id rather get hair transplant or wear hair system than damage my mental health. That stuff shouldnt be legal.
Wow this is super depressing. It's just a wig glued to this dudes scalp, Imagine the itch when the hair starts to grow back in,Imagine the smell when he finally takes that thing off.Not to mention that putting glue strong enough to last weeks to months on your skin, can't possibly be good for you...
+godfist787 With non-surgical hair replacement systems, you can wash your hair as you normally would if it were your own hair. The systems are very secure.
These systems last anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks depending on several factors. A client will come in for a touch up and we remove the growth and clean up their natural hair before placing on the new hair system.
Are you suggesting that a hair piece only lasts a few weeks then a new one needs to be purchased? If so you have eliminated 99% of the men on the planet who might want to wear a piece! I know for a fact they last a lot longer than a few weeks!
Hair falls out due to hormone imbalance (I believe). The clues are in hormone changes in teen years causing massive hair loss and then over time testosterone levels drop due to stress and toxins among other things. How fast and how much depends on the variable of DNA weakness and again the unbalanced hormones. I'm no doctor but I have researched this for over 15 years.
Men with high testosterone levels are actually more likely to lose hair. But it is mostly genetic. If your maternal grandfather had hair loss, you will likely experience it as well.
so this unit has injected hair or v looped hair? how good is the hairline. i have been told only go for swiss lace fronts. how long do these unites you sell last. very impressive
You give me so much temptation to wear a hairpiece again. My brother and I first started wearing a piece in 1991. We were introduced to a very popular barber who specialized in hairpieces. When I tell you our pieces were undetectable, believe me they were. A lot of reasons were that we had both gone to barber school right out of high-school and had the knack if you will. We would take the piece off at bedtime. In the morning would be shower of course and a very precise and careful reapplying of the piece. Making sure with the use of a hand mirror and sink mirror there were no fake look. Nothing worse than seeing a guy who plops on his unit and thats it. We pretty much kept our secret of having a unit. But when we told a few people in the hair business we wore one they were shocked. In 2012 we both decided to go without. He had cancer and it was hard for him to keep up. So he stopped wearing a unit. I inturn did the same I think for respect since I knew he felt bad being so bald and me his twin having a full head. My twin has passed. At this time I feel I'd like to start with wearing a hairpiece. The barber has passed as well. I really don't know who to turn to in my area. Do you have any you can recommend in the 44060 area? I just watched you do a unit on the young man. He looked awesome. I'd probably not choose a part for myself but on him it worked. Thanks
Sorry you lost your brother. That's hard. I think this guy is in the Houston area. I'm sure you'd have many choices in the Cleveland metro area. Good luck to you.
A year later I have to tell you iam now on my second unit. And I love it. Turns out my cousin owns a high end salon and gave it a shot. She did fabulous. No one can tell. I don't go with an exposed hairline though. I like to have some hair forward. I like to cherish the look i had when i had hair.
It looks ok from the front. But you can clearly see the exact spot the real hair stops and the hair system starts when looking at the back of his head.
