Hey Stephen. Great video and information. What color code is that system that you are wearing? I have never seen that nice a blonde hair system color on any websites.
I had a natural part in my hair when I was young. my hair naturally fell to each side of the part. Just a over my left eye. can this effect me recreated with a hair system?
I’ve been wearing a system for 3 years and love it. I wish I found out about these units sooner but happy I found it. And yes MHE/ Curtis is the OG of hair systems, you MUST check out the MHE YT channel. Oh, BTW, I wear a do rag at night, it keeps your hair from moving, getting bunched up and looking good for the duration of your wear.
Tape works fine on thin skin if you don’t get in a rush when you clean and take the tape off. If you let it soak the proper amount of time with C-22 the tape comes off quite easily. Glue, however, is a must on the front inch to 1/2 in of the unit.
The base of hair (lace) doesn't hold dye. Swiss lace is much more natural looking than a poly or thin skin; especially the darker colors, as the roots can't be dyed.
Sorry Ian lace will take hair color I’ve had this misfortune when rooting a system for your client , it depends what the lace is made of synthetic fiber will not take color
@@Suedeheadstudioinc Sorry Suedehead, I dye mine near the end of my systems span. The base never takes the dye. I use a dark brown #3 type of dye, and there's no trace of it on the lace base.
I've tried them all. Swiss lace is the all 'round best, in my opinion. It is far better than poly when it comes to the frontal hairline. Vitually undetectable hairline on a Swiss lace. The poly is detectable due to the inability to bleach the hair that is injected into base of the poly. But there are other individual advantages and disadvantages to all the types of systems. I've heard of buying a blond poly system, then dying the whole poly system in order to have undetectable hair at the base, as the base of the hairs remain blond (equivilent to dying the knots in a lace system). Of all the systems, I prefer the Swiss lace due to the undetectable front hairline. I have a French lace on the way; I'm interested to see the difference in comparison to the Swiss lace. It may need a couple extra coats of glue to hide the lace in the front.
@@ianbrown5955 that's generally the impression I got from a lot of people. I'm going to try my first lace system soon, and bleach the front area for a more natural look. Let me know how you go with the French vs Swiss, I have been told that it's hard to see a difference since they are all made in similar factories, and the quality difference is negligible.
Every stylist will have their own preferences, lace can hold much less density than a skin system , density in my opinion is the reason why so many systems appear fake
