Nicotine of any kind will cause your blood vessels to constrict and will limit blood flow to your new grafts so it’s definitely a good idea to avoid nicotine of any kind for about 6 weeks after your procedure

@@xCBKyle dang, it looks like I forgot to put that in the video. Good catch! I ask all of my patients to avoid nicotine products like cigarettes, gum, vaping and chew for 4 weeks before surgery.
