Buy a clay that is water soluble (Hanz de Fuko is if you can afford it!). Water soluble products will dissolve in the water, meaning it will come out without having to use Shampoo every time.

Joe! My man! "Back to basics": Currently having issues with finding the best way to wash my long hair (11 inches) in the shower... Should I wash it leaning forward with hair over face... Or tilting head back? Massaging scalp and working through the hair shaft? I feel like my hair is not getting the best out of every wash not matter how much time I spend in the shower and even though I'm using quality products (sulfate and silicone-free shampoo and conditioner every other day or so, Argan oil, air-dry only) hair looks unhappy and brittle. Thanks in advance, man.. Keep up the good work (and quiff)!

i discuss with my friends about this.I wash it 2 times a week and told it to my friends.They said they used wash their hair with shampoo everyday some even twice a day.I reason with them and it was quite embarrassing cause most of them do.

The problem is I tried not shampooing my hair for 2-3 days sometimes even 4 days at a time; with Hans de fuko shampoo, but I always kept getting a high amount of flakes in my hair. The shampoo I used before was head and shoulders, and right now I basically quit the hanz de fuko and went back to washing my hair everyday with h&s. Everyone still keeps saying it's unhealthy to was you hair everyday though

Yelawolf I'll be sure to try them in the future. Also I found that shampooing my hair every other day works. Just one day off of shampooing in between and the flakes don't build up.

ImReadyD151 buy neutrogena Tgel for flaky scalp.. and yes mister pompadour shampoo much better than hdf shampoo, it makes your hair more soft and easy to style. I have a good experience with hdf conditioner, but say no to hdf shampoo, I only let about 1 minute and my hair feel hard to style even a little hard to comb ( even after I use their conditioner ).. so Mister Pompadour shampoo is the best for me.. combine with neutrogenaTgel therapeutic formula

What if you use hair products everyday? Should I still not wash my hair? On the next day, my hair always gets super oily and makes me uncomfortable. I heard that you shouldn't sleep with hair products in your hair. It supposedly clogs up and could result in hair loss.

Do you lose hair when you shower? I've grown out my hair (it's about 5 inches) and I always get a little clump of hair in the drain after shampooing/conditioning. A little more (about 20-30 strands) when I comb it afterward. It freaked me out, but my stylist says it's normal to lose 50-100 hairs a day and most people do when they wash, and it's more noticeable when your hair is long. But I didn't see any strands on your hands when you were washing, so that's why I asked.

I've used ARGAN RAIN natural shampoo for about a year; I can say I have lost no more and it stop my loss, I tried other brands but my scalp broke out, so this has been the only thing that helped, also it leaves your hair in great condition, so perhaps no conditioner is needed for use with this product,; smells good, sulfate, alcohol, dye and salt free.

I've used this shampoo/conditioner for over a month now (as well as the Moroccan paste and natural beeswax products)... And for some reason my scalp has developed quite a bit of acne. Not sure if it's the shampoo/conditioner/products or what. I like them.... But clearly not for me.

You really have no choice but to wash your hair everyday because it's even worse to go to bed with product in your hair because that can lead to hairloss. Sure you can wash the product off with water but it will not go away 100% I think. BTW if conditioner adds back the good stuff as you call it, then what's the problem?

Uhm, I've been washing my hair every day since the summer.. so like 6-7 months, I want to fix it but like you said my body is trying to compensate for the missing oils and only after one day it gets pretty oily and it smells weird, thats why i wash it. We have enough filth in the environ ment to add putting it in our hair and on our skin. I have been using Argan life sham poo it has been great. One of the best na tural brand that I have tried. You should try it.

You're right about the extra oil when shampooing everyday. This is why I feel I need to shampoo as when I wake up, my hear is a greasy mess. If I go two days without shampoo, my scalp starts flaking by the third day. How do I go about recovering from this ?

It's a slow process but you have to gradually use less and less shampoo every time you shower. Don't rush cause your scalp needs time to adapt to the new methods slowly.

jojo maron Fair points. As soon as I start to reduce, hair fall increases, and my hair gets unbelievably greasy and flaky. But you're right. Just need to be patient.

Depends. If you have really thick hair it's possible but i wouldn't recommend it. I personally wash my hair every 2 - 3 days with shampoo/conditioner.
