If you watch carefully at about 0:43, you can see that when he twists the hair tie, it kind of lifts the hair enough to grab the hair without you fingers getting caught on anything. That's how I figured it out, hope this helps

I know the feeling, but I have learned to embrace my baldness. Because great men in past and present are baldies too ( Anton Lavey, Van Diesel, The Rock and Jason Statha just to name a few). My hair was shitty as fuck from the day that I was born, and since the bald spots came along I decided to shave it off, which made me more successful by the ladies 😂😂. But these videos hurt pretty much.

Same reason I came here, but my hair is still a bit too long for these. With some tweaking I can make them look pretty good but method 2 is not an option and method 3 turns into a full half bun half ponytail.
