As Haitian one thing I learned from this past week they are more loving Americans citizens than few haters. Thank you for your solidarity with us in the time of crisis, Haïti was the very first country that stands side by side with USA in October 1779 to fight against aggression of France and British soldiers.
Everyone is my town is appalled by the lies, abuse, and evil being done in Springfield, OH to perfectly innocent folks. Please know you have many prayers and much human love from the rest of the nation near and far. Vance is a creepy liar and so is Trump. Harris/Walz 2024 SAVE DEMOCRACY and defeat this tactic utterly. From a person in California who has lived next to and worked with migrants many times, this whole thing is ridiculous. Just know that just like all of the elections where Trump never won the popular vote, there are more people in the US who are kind than are hateful. ✌️💙

And as far as ducks in the park go if this is an actual thing, why is this a national headline? Give them a fine, educate the community, and move on. Vance made it up, Facebook lady grabbed onto a rumor from white nationalists and then spread it like it was around (that cat is fine btw), the woman who ate a cat was a US citizen in Canton Ohio who is having a mental breakdown, the man carrying geese had picked them up with permission after they got hit by a car in Columbus Ohio, and finally the bbq was of a pair of chickens with a lot of people who don't know anything about anatomy claiming they were cats.

The woman who first posted this rumor on social media, admitting she made it up, has apologized for it and taken that post down once she realized Trump and Vance had picked it up and platformed her falsehood, and that real people were getting hurt because of her misinformation post.

1. Cutting grass / foliage with a machete is common in many countries. It’s a part of their culture, not a threat. 2. The Haitians do seem to struggle with driving safely. I watched a documentary where the interviewer asked multiple DOL employees why they’re giving the Haitians drivers licenses, and they all said they weren’t allowed to say. This is a local government issue. 3. The local government is for some reason moving huge amounts of Haitians to Springfield. With no plan whatsoever on how to deal with the lack of infrastructure and assimilation plans. Again, this is the government officials’ fault. They enticed these struggling people to a “new life” in the US, but failed to make plans on how to do it without destroying the locals’ way of life. 4. And as you clearly stated,, it is the government’s and landlords’ fault for this disaster. These are just human beings trying to escape fear and hardship. It is not their fault that the local government officials created a ridiculous system that was doomed to fail. A system that ensured a horrific effect on both the Springfield residents, and the LEGAL Haitian communities.
And exactly how often have you held out a helping hand to these innocent people to assimilate via our federal government? Let's not forget our ancestors did not come from this continent, unless you are an indigenous first people!

That's not how immigration works. The United States has always taken in immigrants from much poorer countries and those immigrants are what has made America into a great country. There were times when Ireland and Italy were just as bad as Haiti is now and everybody knows immigrants from those places having made America better.
I think the majority of the Haitian immigrants are decent people seeking a new life in the USA. Unfortunately, with mass immigration (20 to 30 thousand) the vetting process could get jumbled and could of allowed criminals to enter as well. Cultural practices are different throughout the world and so this scenario with the animals could of very well happen. Perhaps, the Haitians did not realize that certain animals are off limits.
Does anyone think 15,000 or more immigrants should be brought to a city of 58,000. They cannot speak English. The children can speak no English, so what does that do to the schools? The health care is overloaded and the food banks are empty. The housing is a huge problem. Please just be realistic or maybe this will happen to your town. This can’t be handled this way.
